Serena frowned.
A piece of scrap paper fetching three billion dollars; her mind was just filled with the words 'sucker' and 'idiot.'
What was this woman trying to do, running over here and blabbering all this nonsense?
Was she here to be a comedian?
Serena found Bianca truly ridiculous.
This seemed to be their first meeting, right?
Why was Bianca inexplicably harboring such immense hostility toward her?
She had gone out of her way to walk from the first row to her corner, just to mock her?
Didn't she pride herself on being a premier socialite?
What kind of proper hostess would publicly humiliate and mock a guest they had invited to their own auction?
Serena did not even need to engage with her.
Bianca was turning herself into a laughingstock among the upper class entirely on her own.
This sort of behavior was incredibly petty and completely unsuitable for public display.
She completely lacked the etiquette of a top-tier socialite.
However, Serena did not care.
Beside her, Nicholas furrowed his brow, a trace of icy hostility surfacing in his deep, predatory gaze.
He raised his hand, about to lift his bidding paddle.
It was only three billion dollars.
He would gladly drop thirty billion.
After all, it was a piece of Serena's childhood, so buying it back as a collectible wouldn't be a bad idea.
It would also save him from this annoying woman constantly buzzing around Serena.
She was so irritating.
But before he could move, a soft, warm hand pressed against his.
Serena shook her head at him. "Do you have money burning a hole in your pocket?"
The look she gave Nicholas was akin to looking at a hopeless spendthrift.
Seeing this, Bianca scoffed. "What? Your model wanted to bid for you, and you stopped him? Well, three billion isn't a small sum, after all."
"Yeah, spending three billion on some scrap paper is something only an absolute idiot would do." Serena lifted her cool gaze, her eyes brimming with a mocking sneer.
