Isabella Lancaster was dressed in the latest haute couture skirt suit of the season, stepping out in four-inch heels and carrying a highly luxurious designer bag.
Her makeup was flawless, and a sweet, confident smile played on her lips.
The moment she appeared, a crowd of people instantly swarmed around her.
"Oh my god! Isabella, you're really back in the country?"
"I heard she flew back from the United Realmon States specifically to lead the team for the Elite Scholarship Gauntlet. She truly is the Campus Queen of our department. So responsible!"
"Isabella always makes such a blinding entrance! That limited-edition supercar has to be worth at least millions of dollars!"
"Wow, Isabella, is that the latest collection from Brand X? I wanted to order it the moment the design sketches came out, but they said someone had already snagged it for a premium price. I didn't expect it to be you... But then again, only a wealthy heiress like you deserves the latest collection from Brand X. I'm so jealous."
"Isabella is the absolute favorite to win the Elite Scholarship Gauntlet! The whole school is counting on you!"
The endless stream of flattery and envious remarks.
It made Isabella feel incredibly validated.
What she enjoyed most was this feeling of being surrounded by stars like the moon, allowing her to forget the humiliation she had suffered at the Lancaster family and the misery she had endured in that rundown rented apartment!
Right now, she was still that lofty and untouchable Lancaster heiress.
Isabella took off her sunglasses, brushed her flawlessly styled hair, and smiled demurely, her voice gentle. "You guys are exaggerating. The Elite Scholarship Gauntlet is full of experts, and everyone is very talented."
She narrowed her eyes slightly, looking gentle and elegant. "The Elite Scholarship Gauntlet is about the school's honor. I'll do my best to contribute to the university."
"Oh, Isabella, you're just being too modest."
"It really has to be you, coming from a wealthy family, yet so outstanding and gentle."
Just as the crowd was busy sucking up to her.
Suddenly, the roaring engine of another supercar tore through the air from behind.
The students who had been scolded jumped in fright, quickly ducking their heads and muttering under their breath. "Why so aggressive? So what if she has a little money? Didn't she get completely destroyed last night..."
"What did you say?!" Bianca exploded in a violent rage.
The surge of anger made the whip wounds on her body throb with even sharper pain.
Her lackeys quickly held her back. "Bianca, calm down. It's not worth arguing with these people. It's beneath you."
Bianca took a deep breath and let out a cold scoff. "You're right. They're just a bunch of peasants!"
She turned to walk into the school.
As she turned, she locked eyes with Isabella.
Isabella's heart gave a violent lurch.
