Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1044

Deanna and Alex stood up to head out.

As they were leaving, Deanna caught a snippet of Josefina's phone conversation, where a man's smooth, affectionate voice was gently chiding, "Josie, you're being a bit naughty. You promised you'd stay home for me, so why'd you head out by yourself?"

Josefina, a bit surprised, replied, "Didn't you mention last night that you wouldn't make it home for dinner today?"

"I managed to free up some time so we can have lunch together. I didn't want you to get bored," Oliver said with a resigned chuckle.

"Why don't you swing by my office? I just heard about this place nearby that serves fantastic grilled fish," Josefina suggested.

"Stay put at the office, don't wander off. I'll come to you," Oliver insisted.

"Alright," Josefina agreed, then hung up.

The office was always pristine, cleaned thoroughly every day.

Just then, Deanna knocked and stepped in, holding a white gift bag.

"Ms. Josefina, I've shared some herbal tea with everyone in the office, and I brought some for you too. I hope you like it, though I'm not sure if herbal tea is your thing."

On the desk, the cup of rose tea was still there, the petals open wide, elegant and captivating.

For some reason, a thought flitted through Josefina's mind: the more beautiful something is, the more potentially dangerous it can be.

Gazing at the blooming rose, Josefina smiled softly, "Thank you."

Grateful, Josefina accepted the gift, and Deanna laid out her design sketches.

"Ms. Josefina, I took a shot at drawing a couple of design sketches myself. I know I'm not quite at Alex's level, but could you take a look and give me some feedback?"

Josefina, appreciating Deanna's eagerness, accepted the sketches.

Josefina's keen eyes reviewed the designs, then glanced up at Deanna’s hopeful expression.

"You've integrated my feedback into your sketches so quickly. Impressive work, Deanna."
