Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1126

"Mandy, thanks for all your hard work."

"No problem at all, it’s what I’m here for. You wouldn’t believe it, but I've got energy to spare every single day. If I don’t burn it off, I can’t even sleep. So, having something to do is a win-win."

Josefina gave a warm smile, understanding that Mandy wanted to help lighten her load. She didn’t hesitate; she needed to get to the bottom of things as soon as possible.

...

Josefina stepped out of the medical club and called Luke. After explaining the situation, she hung up. She noticed a group of students walking quickly, chatting animatedly. As she got closer, she could catch snippets of their conversation.

“Hey, did you hear? Our med school has a new medical society!”

“Yeah, I heard. Looks like they're trying to compete with Josefina’s club!”

“People who didn’t get into the medical club can try their luck at the new society.”

“How’s the school even allowing two medical groups?”

“Let’s check it out and sign up.”

Josefina thought of Cassandra. This seemed exactly like something she would do. Josefina was curious to see what kind of buzz Cassandra could create.

...

Cassandra was busy registering newcomers to the medical society. Once the hustle quieted down, a female student sat across from her.

Cassandra glanced at her, “Here to sign up too?”

“Relax, I’ve got your back,” Cassandra assured her, thumping her chest confidently. Lydia exhaled in relief, looking at Cassandra with newfound admiration.

With that, Lydia left. Outside, she took out her phone and sent a message: Mission accomplished.

Meanwhile, Cassandra sat in her room, typing a reply on her own phone. “Fiona, you took something that wasn’t yours and refused to return it. Get ready to face the consequences,” Cassandra smirked coldly.

...

When Oliver came to pick Josefina up after school, Cassandra spotted them. Lydia whispered beside her, “He’s Josefina’s boyfriend. Handsome, wealthy, and well-connected.”

Cassandra snorted, clearly unimpressed by Oliver’s status. “That guy might look good and have some cash, but how do you know he’s powerful? Westwood’s full of wealthy folks. Lydia, you need to broaden your horizons.”

Lydia forced a smile, cursing internally. Lydia thought: As if you’re rolling in dough yourself.
