Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1219

Bennett led Josefina into the nursery.

The whole room was decorated in soft pinks—even the curtains were rosy, and the crib was a creamy white, surrounded by adorable stuffed animals that practically begged you to come over and take a closer look.

“Ms. Josefina, if there’s anything you’d like to change, just let me know,” Bennett said. “All the materials are eco-friendly, but it’s important to keep the air fresh. The sooner we get everything set up, the sooner we can let it air out. When the baby comes, you’ll be able to stay here a few days in comfort.”

Josefina smiled. “Thank you, Bennett. And please thank Grandfather for me, too.”

“As long as you and the baby are happy, that’s all he cares about,” Bennett replied warmly. “He said if you’re pleased, he’s pleased.”

Josefina glanced around, remembering how Brandon had set up a nursery here before—but it hadn’t looked like this.

Bennett caught her look and explained, “The nursery Mr. Brandon arranged before wasn’t really Oliver’s style. Oliver gave him some suggestions, so your grandfather had it redone. This time, he wanted your opinion directly.”

Josefina couldn’t help but laugh to herself. So now her opinion was the one that mattered most!

“All pink? Are there any other rooms, just in case?” she joked. “What if the baby’s a boy?”

To Josefina, boy or girl, her child would be her biggest treasure.

But it seemed like Brandon was absolutely sure she’d have a girl.

“Grandfather says girls are the best. He’s convinced that if you have a daughter, she’ll be as smart and beautiful as you. Not like Oliver, who’s always got that icy expression on his face.”

Josefina burst out laughing.

Just then, a chilly voice came from behind her. “Is my face really that cold?”

She turned, her eyes lighting up as she walked over to Oliver.

“Grandfather calls you ‘Mr. Ice Face’ all the time. You really should try smiling more.” Josefina reached up and pinched his cheek playfully.

She had to stand on tiptoe and stretch her arm just to reach his face.

Oliver wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up, settling her feet on top of his so she could stand comfortably.
