Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 522

Josie stood up and headed to Lena's room. The lock on Lena's door was no joke.

Squatting down, she pulled out her tools and got to work. Today was one of those rare moments when Reid was home, and he happened to catch her in the act.

He walked over and crouched down next to her. "Josie, you're trying to pick Lena's lock? That's a tough one. I called a locksmith, and even they couldn't get it open. They said this door is practically bomb-proof."

Just as Reid was going on about the difficulty, there was a satisfying click, and the door swung open.

"Holy smokes," Reid muttered, staring at Josie like she was a magician. "Little sis, you've got a serious talent for this. How about joining our team?"

Josie just smiled, "Sorry, Reid, I'm kinda swamped with other stuff."

"Come on, Josie. I've got a competition next month. Join me, take a look around. You might really like it."

But Josie shook her head, "Reid, I'm really busy, seriously. No time."

It was then that Josie remembered Reid didn't know about her other identity, Anya, or that she was also the artist Gideon. Maybe it was time to spill the beans.

"Reid, you probably don't know this, but I'm juggling more than just the company. I've got other things going on."

Reid looked puzzled, "What else could you be doing?"

"Reid, I'm Anya, the designer. I'm also Gideon, the artist, and on top of that, I'm a doctor."

"Sure, Reid, you check around the couch."

Josie had considered sending Reid to check the wardrobe but thought better of it. Rummaging through a girl's clothes didn't seem right.

Reid headed to the couch area while Josie entered Lena's vast walk-in closet. The place was filled with glamorous clothes and an array of designer labels that dazzled the eyes.

She started with the clothes, meticulously checking each garment. When she reached the bags section, Josie couldn't help but think, Lena was such a piece of work!

The Harrisons had showered her with designer bags, treated her so well, and she had betrayed them. It was unforgivable!

Finally, in one of the bags, Josie found a receipt from a bubble tea shop in some obscure location. Holding the slip of paper, she decided to check the place out, hoping it might lead to a clue.
