Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 558

Oliver stole a quick glance at Asher, who was still as proper and composed as ever.

"Mr. Oliver, should I get the team to drag the hitman away? Should we call the cops?" Asher asked.

Oliver replied, "Call the cops, and those guys will just cover their tracks. You take the lead and investigate while you can."

Luke chimed in confidently, "Boss, don't worry. I've got my own crew on it too."

Asher and Luke exchanged intense looks, each determined to be the first to crack the case.

Just then, Dorian and his entourage arrived.

Josefina, upon seeing Dorian, was visibly surprised, but Oliver remained unfazed.

Josefina rushed over excitedly, "Dorian, what are you doing here?"

Dorian, visibly annoyed, shot Oliver an irritated look. "Oliver called me, asking if I'd heard from you. He didn't explain why, and the more I thought about it, the more it bothered me. It wasn't until I did some digging that I found out you had been kidnapped."

Turning to Oliver, Dorian's anger flared. "Oliver, why didn't you tell me?"

Oliver stayed calm. "The kidnapper was clear – no telling anyone else, no police, or Josie would be in danger. For her safety, I had to keep you in the dark."

Josefina let out a chuckle. "Even though Oliver didn't say much, you figured it out, Dorian. His call was a warning."

Her words seemed to ease Dorian a bit, but he still retorted, "Oliver, Josie's my sister. If she's in trouble, you need to let me know immediately."

Dorian added firmly, "My sister's got luck on her side, so this won't happen again. But from now on, you better keep me in the loop, no matter what. I'm Josie's Dorian."

Before the two could argue further, Josefina quickly interjected, "Dorian, our parents don't know about this, do they?"

The officer replied, "We've already sorted it out. Lena's been arrested."

Ruby was speechless.

If Lena had any brains, she wouldn't have been kicked out by the Harrison family. What an idiot!

The officer turned to Ruby, "You seem pretty sure Lena influenced your mom. Were you involved too?"

Stunned by the officer's sharp gaze, Ruby shook her head frantically, "No way! Lena approached me to team up, but I refused. I'm a law-abiding citizen; I'd never do something so awful."

After giving her statement, Ruby was a mess, not knowing what to do next.

"Where's my mom? Can I see her?" she asked.
