Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 591

Oliver's smile widened as Josefina expressed her concern. "With you looking out for me, Josie, I'll definitely be extra careful."

Their eyes met, and they shared a warm chuckle.

The car journey ended in the Harrison family estate's underground garage, where rows of vehicles stood neatly parked.

With a big family came a big fleet.

Stepping out of the car, Josefina noticed a new addition to the garage: a camper van.

"You better head back," she told Oliver. "Go check on Grandpa Brandon."

Today's events would surely weigh on the old man's mood.

Having such a reckless son was truly a trial.

Oliver nodded. "See you tomorrow, Josie."

"Tomorrow," she replied, waving as she stepped into the elevator while Oliver drove off.

...

Upon reaching the ground floor, Josefina emerged from the elevator to the sound of Hattie's gentle voice.

"Do you think our Josie will like this gift?"

Garrett reassured her, "No one knows her better than you, dear. If she doesn't like what you've chosen, we'll just get her something else. But I'll pay for anything you pick out for her."

Josefina, smiling, sat down on the couch across from her parents.

"Mom, Dad, you got me another gift? You really don't have to keep doing this; I have everything I need."

Hattie sat beside her daughter, looking at her with eyes brimming with affection, as if they were two sisters rather than mother and child.

The trio looked at Josefina with eyes full of concern.

Hattie cautioned her, "Josie, you can't overdo it. You're still so young, and we've got the means. You don't need to work; we can provide for you and keep you comfortable."

"Josie," Hattie continued tenderly, "your father and I might be a bit anxious about you wearing yourself out. You should be enjoying your youth."

"Mom, Dad, I'm not upset. I know you're looking out for me. I'm used to the pace of my work, and it isn't too much for me. I'd actually feel off if I weren't doing it."

Dorian added, "Josie, it's fine to work, but maybe you could lighten the load a bit, give yourself some breathing room. We've never really gone on a family trip together. How about we take the opportunity before you're back at school?"

Dorian's suggestion won over Hattie and Garrett.

Hattie agreed, "Dorian's right. It would be good for us to get away together."

Garrett added, "I've heard the views at Jade Dragon Bay are stellar, and it's not too far. How about we all head out there?"
