Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 624

As soon as Dorian finished speaking, Mandy stormed back in.

"Reid, dude, you're being super harsh. How is hanging out at a friend's place suddenly scandalous?"

Mandy was fuming, running over to Alivia, pouting, "Grandma, look at this. Reid is saying I'm being improper."

Alivia was stunned, caught off guard by the accusation.

Alivia raised her voice, "Dorian, what on earth are you saying!"

Dorian shot back, "I learned it from you, Grandma! Isn’t this how you talk about my sister? So, why is it a big deal when I talk about your granddaughter?"

Josefina almost burst into laughter. Dorian was spot on.

Mandy, clearly upset, said, "Reid, you've changed. You never used to talk to me like this."

"Mandy, you've changed too. You're my sister, and so is Josie. I'm nice to both of you. But you? You’re not as understanding as you used to be."

Mandy was left speechless.

Alivia, her brow furrowed, scolded, "Dorian, how can you say such things to Mandy!"

"Grandma, I'm just following your example. Isn’t this what I learned from you?" Dorian replied coldly.

Alivia was so angry she could barely breathe, her heart condition flaring up again.

Hattie rushed out and quickly popped a nitroglycerin pill into Alivia's mouth.

Seeing Hattie's action, Josefina realized she must have overheard the conversation.

Not stepping in likely meant she didn't know how to deal with the situation, so she let Dorian speak freely.

After taking the pill, Alivia calmed down significantly.

Dorian said, "Josie, tomorrow I'll talk to Grandma about moving to another house, not staying here."

It's not ideal for Josie to be around this tension all the time.

Hattie sighed, "I've talked to your grandma about it. She doesn't want to leave."

Dorian had thought about it, and so had Hattie, but it seemed there was no easy solution.

Josefina reassured them, "Don't worry. I won't be around much anyway."

Seeing Josefina's exhaustion, Hattie said with concern, "Josie, why don't you head up to bed? I'll have a chat with Dorian."

Josefina stood up, "Mom, Dorian, I'm off to bed. Goodnight."

After Josefina left, Dorian, with a serious look, told Hattie, "I've got a plan that might make Grandma and Mandy leave."
