Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 629

Josefina turned her head to gaze out the window, blatantly ignoring Oliver.

Oliver, eager to tease Josefina a bit more, had to focus on driving as the traffic light turned green.

After dropping Josefina off at school, Oliver drove back to his office. Just as he arrived, George hurried in from outside.

"Mr. Oliver, you need to see this. Dominic has called a shareholders' meeting without your approval. Only a few showed up, but those few are backing Dominic."

Oliver, hearing this, remained calm and collected as he made his way out. George followed closely behind Oliver, and together they headed to the meeting room.

George stepped ahead of Oliver, pushing open the meeting room door, as Oliver strode in confidently.

Dominic and four shareholders were in the midst of a discussion, which ceased upon Oliver's entrance.

George pulled up a chair for Oliver, who sat down, drawing the attention of everyone present.

"Dominic," Oliver began, his tone icy, "you're holding a meeting here without my say-so?"

Dominic stumbled over his words, "I... I assumed you wouldn't mind."

"I do mind."

The shareholders fell silent, torn between supporting Dominic and siding with Oliver. Their allegiance hung by a thread.

Oliver's gaze swept over them, his eyes cold and predatory, "This is my turf. What makes you think you can use my meeting room?"

Dominic was visibly taken aback, unable to form a response.

Rowan roared in anger, "That Oliver thinks he can control everything! I'm not dead yet, and he dares to pull this? Dominic, come home. I'll handle him."

Dominic's voice was filled with concern, "Dad, just take care of yourself. Whether I'm in the company or not doesn't matter, as long as you're healthy. I don't want to fight with Dorian over the company, to avoid tarnishing your reputation."

Rowan felt comforted by Dominic's words, "I know I can count on you. That bastard Oliver is just trying to kill me with stress!"

After exchanging a few more words of comfort, Dominic hung up. His driver picked him up, and Dominic headed to his stronghold.

Evan came to pick up Alivia, who had undergone a change of heart, expressing her desire to stay and take care of Hattie, and to have her leg examined by a doctor.

Unable to resist Alivia's dramatics, and mindful of her heart condition, they agreed to let her stay a few days. Hattie set the terms, allowing her a week's stay before arranging for her to move to another house.
