Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 683

Josefina and Oliver didn't leave the hospital; instead, they found a quiet corner at the end of another corridor to figure out their next move.

"I think Sydney's onto me. That's why she's being so difficult. This can only mean one thing: Sydney is definitely the mystery woman from back then," Josefina said, her voice filled with determination.

Oliver looked out the window at the sun, his handsome face breaking into a tender smile. His deep eyes locked onto Josefina as he listened, his smile growing naturally.

"You're absolutely right, Josie."

Josefina's big, expressive eyes fixed on Oliver. She tilted her head, her gaze questioning, "Oliver, did you even listen to me, or are you just agreeing for the sake of it?"

"I heard every word, and you're spot on, Josie."

Josefina shrugged in exasperation. "Oliver, even if I said you're not my boyfriend, would you still agree?"

"That's where I draw the line, Josie. That will never be right. You're mine and only mine." Oliver wrapped an arm around Josefina's slender waist, pulling her close and repeating earnestly, "That will never be right, Josie."

"Oliver, you're way too possessive."

"Josie, I'd love it if you were a bit more possessive too."

Josefina met Oliver's gentle gaze and smiled. "Alright, Oliver, then you're only mine. If Shay tries to flirt with you, don't fall for it."

Oliver laughed softly. "When has she ever flirted with me? How come I've never noticed?"

"You never pay attention to her, of course, you wouldn't know. I keep an eye on her, and I can clearly see the true thoughts hidden in her gaze."

Evan was fuming. "Mandy, are you really my daughter? Have you lost your mind? Getting played by a jerk and you're still grinning like an idiot!"

Mandy shot back defiantly, "I haven't been played by anyone! Xavier is genuinely nice, it's you who are being prejudiced! Dad, how can you say that?"

Evan, clutching his chest in frustration, exclaimed, "Idiot! What good can come from the son of a mistress! I've never taken a mistress, yet here you are, choosing the son of one, are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

Ayala looked puzzled. "Wait, are you planning on taking a mistress?"

Evan was momentarily speechless.

"Ayala, what are you even talking about? I'm trying to tell Mandy not to go for someone like Xavier! His mother, Marina, knew the man had a wife and kids, yet she chose to be the other woman. No good person does that. And Xavier's father is no saint either. So, there's not much good in that entire family, not someone to marry into."
