Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 748

Brock was steaming, “I heard there was a guy and a girl?”

“Yep.”

“The infamous Bonnie and Clyde duo?” Brock's anger flared up again.

He picked up his pace and headed over.

As he got closer, Brock spotted two figures from behind and marched up to them, his face a mask of fury.

“What do you think you're doing? Looking to stir up trouble on my turf?”

Standing in front of the pair, Brock looked up and was taken aback.

Oliver's cool demeanor was all too familiar.

In a blink, Brock's bluster turned into a fawning grin.

“Mr. Oliver! What a surprise! I'm so sorry I didn't welcome you sooner. My deepest apologies,” Brock said, his voice dripping with eagerness.

The staff were puzzled.

Wasn't Brock just about to give these intruders a piece of his mind?

And now he's all buddy-buddy?

Mr. Oliver?

Who is this guy?

Curiosity was piqued, and everyone wanted in on the juicy gossip.

Oliver, now the center of attention, turned to Brock, “Is it a problem to bring my fiancée here for a little haunted house adventure?”

“Not at all, it's an absolute honor! Mr. Oliver, having your fiancée here is a blessing I couldn’t even dream of in a million years. Please, Mr. Oliver, Mrs. Baldwin, make yourselves at home and enjoy.”

Brock's face was all smiles, eyes twinkling with joy.

The staff were confused.

Was Brock a master of quick-change artistry?

His turnaround was just too swift!

Josefina herself was amazed at how quickly Brock changed his tune, staring in disbelief.

“Understood, I’m on it right now.”

The staff hustled to carry out the orders.

Yet, Brock remained anxious, terrified of having crossed Oliver.

Upsetting Oliver was like hitting a steel wall!

With his hands clasped behind his back, Brock took a few steps forward, then stopped, his anxiety palpable.

...

Oliver and Josefina strolled down the street, hand in hand.

Josefina was enjoying a cotton candy, while Oliver carried a milkshake and some BBQ skewers in his other hand.

“Oliver, want a taste of the cotton candy?” Josefina offered, her mouth full of the fluffy sweetness, extending it towards him.

Oliver eyed the pink cotton candy, then the girl who was even sweeter.

Leaning in, he lowered his head and kissed Josefina, a tender moment sweeter than any candy.
