Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 796

Josie nodded along with Haylee, completely on board. "Absolutely, sounds great!"

"Hey Josie, wanna join us for the fan meet-up?"

Josie shook her head. "Sorry, I've got other plans."

"Alright, we'll head out then. Fingers crossed we snag an autograph from Calix for me."

As Haylee walked away, Josie mulled over whether she should try to get that autograph for her friend.

...

Oliver, who knew Josie's class schedule like the back of his hand, realized she was getting out early today and immediately called her up.

"Josie, I'm not swamped today. How about dinner tonight?"

"Can't do dinner, I'm heading over to visit Calix on set."

Oliver: "..."

He figured he might just ask George to have a word with the director, maybe they could send Calix off to shoot somewhere far from Westwood, keep him from charming Josie away.

"Then I'm tagging along. I've never been on a set before, could be interesting."

"Oliver, why do you even want to 'check out' a film set? Do you hear yourself? Mr. Big-shot CEO, you've got work to do."

"Josie, I'm free today, so I'm coming to see you."

They settled on a meeting spot, and Oliver hung up.

...

Calix had told Josie she didn’t need to bring anything, just showing up was enough. Plus, he was treating the whole crew to dinner, so she didn’t need to worry about that either.

But Josie wanted to do something nice. She picked up a bunch of delicious snacks and even got Calix a watch, then headed to the set with Oliver.

Gavin came out to greet Josie and Oliver. Seeing them together, he was struck by how stunning they both looked.

Calix: "..."

Could he take back his words of appreciation?

A watch that Oliver picked out?

Calix glanced at Oliver, while Josie cheerfully added, "Oliver knew it was for you, Calix, and he put a lot of thought into it."

Oliver just smiled, sitting next to Josie.

Even though Calix wasn't thrilled about engaging with Oliver, he softened his demeanor for his sister's sake.

"Hey sis, you haven't eaten yet, right? Gavin got some food; I'll have him bring it in for you."

"Thanks, Calix." Josie then asked, "Oh, and could I get a few autographed photos? My roommate's a huge fan and even wanted to come to the set today to support you."

Calix grabbed some photos, signed them, and handed them over to Josie. Anything his sister asked for, he was more than happy to oblige.
