Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 808

Marina's hired social media trolls had thrown in the towel and refused to post any more comments. This was too juicy to sit on, so Josefina got on the phone with Oliver right away.

"Looks like the troll brigade has been disbanded. Was that you pulling the strings?" she asked.

Oliver sounded both surprised and a bit concerned. "Josie, why didn’t you fill me in on this earlier?"

They hadn’t caught up over dinner the night before—Josefina had bailed, saying she had other plans. It wasn’t until this morning that Oliver pieced together what she’d been up to.

Josefina teased him, "I didn’t tell you, yet you still managed to figure it all out."

"Josie, from now on, keep me in the loop with this stuff. You don’t need to get involved in these messy affairs. Leave the dirty work to me, okay? Just focus on your classes, and how about we grab lunch together, huh?"

Oliver's voice was like a warm blanket, making even the biggest problems feel small.

"Alright, alright, Mr. Oliver, you’re the best at handling these things," Josefina admitted.

Oliver chuckled, "So, in your eyes, what am I best at?"

Josefina paused for a second. That question seemed a little off.

"Josie, why the radio silence?" Oliver pressed, clearly fishing for compliments.

"Mr. Oliver, are you trying to flirt with me now?" Josefina shot back, half-amused, half-annoyed.

Realizing where the conversation was heading, Oliver laughed it off.

"I’ve got to run," Josefina said quickly, ending the call.

After hanging up, Josefina saw Orla walk in, and they dove straight into discussing the situation.
