Oliver couldn't help but focus on Josefina wherever he looked.
Catching Josefina's bright eyes, he shot her a playful grin. "So, why do you think I love being around you?"
"It's definitely because when we're together, I sleep like a baby!" Josefina teased back.
Oliver's face lit up with a smile as he gently pinched her cheek. "With witty lines like that, you could pen a bestseller."
Josefina playfully swatted his hand away. "Admit it, you're addicted to our cozy nights, and the sleep you get is unbeatable."
Pulling her into a warm embrace, Oliver's eyes sparkled with affection. "Whatever you say, Josie, is my truth."
Josefina pushed him away gently, a hint of shyness in her voice. "Oliver, sneaking into my room? Aren't you worried my folks might catch you?"
"I'll be stealthy," Oliver assured. "Getting caught would mean being banished from seeing you."
Josefina hesitated. "Maybe you should hold off. Dorian's scheduled a security check tomorrow to ensure the cameras are working perfectly."
Oliver fell silent, pondering. Was Dorian intentionally blocking him?
He hugged Josefina tighter, not wanting to dwell on it any longer.
…
Shay, who had been confined to a wheelchair, slowly stood up.
Once steady, Shay took a step, joy lighting up his face. "I can stand! I can walk again! This is incredible! Thank you, Coach!"
Sydney stood nearby, equally ecstatic. "Ms. Jane, thank you so much."
