Cash shrugged nonchalantly, "I really don't remember you."
"I'm Jane," she introduced herself.
"Jane? Doesn't ring a bell. But wait, isn't there a rumor about a master poisoner called the Black Widow? Surely that's not you?"
Josefina's eyes widened. "That's the one! I've heard tales of the Black Widow. They say she's a pro at mixing and using poisons, with no moral compass at all. Cross her, and you're as good as gone."
"So, you're the infamous Black Widow?" Cash asked, instinctively stepping back alongside Josefina to put some distance between them and Jane.
"I didn't invite you to my party," Cash said, his brow furrowed. "Who brought you here? You weren't on my guest list."
Josefina chimed in, "Showing up uninvited, and with an agenda, no doubt."
Their exchange caught the crowd's attention.
Oliver quickly joined, standing by Josefina. "Is she here to cause trouble?"
His icy gaze sent shivers through those nearby.
Jane tried to explain, "I just wanted to say hi to Cash, but he's acting like he doesn't know me."
"Jane, I honestly have never met you before. Even your name, I only learned just now!" Cash insisted.
"I can back that up," Josefina added.
Shay and Sydney moved in, puzzled by the drama.
Wasn't Jane supposed to know Cash? And wasn't she here to make a point?
"What's going on, Ms. Jane?" Sydney whispered.
Jane snapped, "If you want to know, ask him! Why are you bugging me?"
