Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 867

Dominic was dumbfounded. How did everything he'd meticulously planned fall apart so easily? Was Oliver out of his mind saying such things? Did he have money to throw around for all this tech development?

"Grandpa, this is crazy! We're sinking so much into R&D and then selling at rock-bottom prices. How are we ever going to make our money back?"

Dominic was convinced Oliver had lost it. Was he really that determined to one-up him, even if it meant losing money?

When Dominic bombarded Oliver with his doubts and complaints, Oliver coolly replied, "Grandpa, as long as you understand, that's all that matters. I've got to go now."

Oliver walked away without a care, ignoring everyone else's opinions. Dominic was fuming but kept his mouth shut.

Brandon, ever the picture of calm, said to Dominic, "I've told you before, you should really step back from the company. You're just not cut out for business. Making such a fuss over something so minor, you're acting like a drama queen. Look at Oliver; now there's someone with grace! And you still don't get what we're discussing. Where's your head at?"

Dominic was left speechless, his anger only growing.

Brandon continued, "The Baldwin family isn't strapped for cash. A low price doesn't mean we're not making a profit. Now, off you go. Don't disturb my rest."

Brandon couldn't be bothered with Dominic anymore and walked away. As he left, he muttered to the butler, "I have to admit, Oliver's got a good head on his shoulders."

Hearing this, Dominic glared after Brandon, convinced he wasn't in the wrong.

Back home, Dominic found Rowan and Sydney waiting.

Seeing Dominic's scowl, they both looked worried.

Rowan asked, "Dominic, what's got you so upset?"

Sydney, concerned, chimed in, "Did Oliver give you a hard time again?"

Rowan, seething, declared, "I'll call him."

Rowan got up, borrowed a phone from a servant, and dialed Oliver's number.

Surprisingly, Oliver picked up right away and jumped straight into the conversation. "Technology isn't meant to be out of reach; it's meant to serve people. With high prices, how many do you think we'd sell? And selling less, do you think we'd make money? Besides, Dominic's not cut out for making money. He's too caught up in the details, not suited for running a company."

With that, Oliver ended the call, cutting off any chance for further discussion. Rowan's call with Oliver was a one-off, never to be repeated.

Rowan, phone in hand, felt a whirlwind of emotions. Walking back into the living room, Sydney and Dominic turned to him, expecting an outburst. But they noticed something was off about Rowan's expression.

Dominic and Sydney exchanged glances, and Sydney gave him a look. Dominic stayed silent.
