Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 879

Josefina pulled up to the pharmaceutical company, where Jarred and Percy were ready to help her load up some medicine.

Jarred joked, "Ms. Josefina, these ginseng roots are the real deal."

"They're from Hunter. I didn't charge him for the consultation, so he gifted me these herbs," Josefina explained.

Percy added, "Josie worked her tail off treating him. It's only fair he gave something back."

Percy was all too familiar with Josefina's dedication.

Jarred, with a cheerful grin, continued loading the medicine, finishing up in no time.

Once inside the office, Percy followed Josefina in.

"Are the pills ready?" Josefina asked.

"All set and boxed up. You can take them with you," Percy replied.

"Thanks for all your hard work, Percy."

"It's no trouble. Just doing my job. Whatever you need, I'm on it," Percy assured.

Josefina beamed, "You're a true friend. I'm tripling your salary this month."

A flicker of sadness crossed Percy's eyes, but Josefina didn't catch it.

"Thanks, boss. You're too kind."

Josefina gave a small smile, grabbed some medicine, and headed out.

...

News about Josefina's lecture was buzzing around the school.

Joelle, clearly annoyed by all the praise, vented to Shay, "They're acting like she's some kind of genius. Who knows if she even wrote that speech or just memorized it? And those student questions were probably set up to make her look good."

Shay smirked, "Come on, Joelle, let it go. If people hear you, they'll say you're just slandering her."

Joelle insisted, "But it's true. More people should hear about it."

Her ranting was abruptly interrupted by a sharp voice.
