He turned his head, soaking in the blissful smile on Oliver's face and the utterly shocked look on Brandon's, as he quietly wiped away a tear. Bennett stayed silent, just turned his head back again. This is great, just fantastic. Brandon rubbed his face, still trying to wrap his head around it all.
"Oliver, you better not be pulling my leg. I'm practically at death's door, and I can't handle this kind of shock."
"I'm not joking, sir. Josie is pregnant. But her folks, her little brother, and all aren't too keen on us tying the knot. What do you think I should do about that?"
Brandon was momentarily speechless. "I'll take care of it! I'll have a chat with Garrett first, then I'll talk to Zhenyang. Don't worry, I'll make sure you get to marry her."
"No, you can't go to Grandpa Robert. Only you, me, Josie, and her mom know about this. If you rush in, it'll just embarrass Josie."
Brandon nodded repeatedly. "Oliver, you've really thought this through. Alright, tomorrow I'll try to gauge the situation, see if I can get Robert to agree to Josie marrying you soon."
"I agreed to move in with the Harrison family after the wedding, to make it happen."
Brandon didn’t get upset; instead, he just chuckled and pointed at Oliver. "You sly fox. Whether Josie joins our family or you move into theirs, I'm good with it. I barely see you once a month when you're at home. If you live with the Harrisons, maybe I'll see you more often."
The two shared a knowing smile. Brandon, filled with joy, leaned back into the sofa, his smile never fading.
"Oliver, handle all the wedding arrangements yourself. Don’t let Josie lift a finger; she needs her rest. Also, start researching baby products—find out which brands are the best. You've got to be diligent about this."
Oliver nodded, and Brandon continued, "If you’re unsure about something, ask someone with kids. I've already had a crib made by a carpenter, so that's ready to go."
