Chapter 58-1
Raven’s POV
Claint
“Well, it’s about damn time you admit it.” Mazie says to me, with her whole demeanor changing,
like she had washed everything that we had talked about previously under the bridge.
“Wait, you knew I had feelings for both of them?” I asked her, confused about how she knew, and if I had let my feelings somehow slip up, even though I had worked so hard to conceal the ones I had
for Cash.
“It doesn’t take a genius to see it. I see the way you look at Cash. Besides, I am his best friend,
along with yours, and I do pay attention.”
My heart began to race in my chest, as I took a step towards the headstone, placing my hand on it to steady myself, thinking that if Mazie could see it, how many others could too? My mind then
went back to cheerleading practice and to the girl that had accused me of wanting all three
brothers, making me realize that I had been doing a horrible job covering up my feelings for Cash.
If Mazie was worried about the town’s people accepting her, I could only imagine what they were all thinking about the new girl that had come into town, being seen with not just one of the Ryder
brothers but all three. I could only imagine what they were saying about me. But then it hit me like
a ton of bricks. If they could all see it, then so could Chance.
“Raven, are you okay?” Mazie asks, as she moved towards me with the look of concern in her eyes,
while I began to take slow, deep breaths, trying to calm myself, as I closed my eyes, trying to take myself to my happy place, just like my shrink had taught me to do.
Through my deep breaths, I asked her, “Do you think Chance knows?”
“I’m sure he knows.” Mazie says to me like it was no big deal, making me open my eyes to look at her, before she says to me, “And he is okay with it.”
“How could he be okay with it?” I now asked her, as tears began to sting my eyes, and the void that
I had felt in my heart when I thought I had lost him last night returned, now feeling like my heart was being ripped out of my chest.
Mazie wrapped her arm around me, helping me to take a seat on the ground beside the grave, before she said to me, “Raven, I need you to calm down, and I will explain it to you.”
I continued to take deep breaths, wondering what she could possibly tell me that would make it be okay. I now could give two shits less what the town’s people thought of me, as my main worry now was Chance and how I had probably ruined things between us.

Clai
How was I supposed to look him in the eyes, now knowing that he knew I had feelings for his
brother too? Maybe I should just take Mrs. Jacobs up on her offer, and I should leave town with a
broken heart, saving myself the embarrassment of having to face him.
“Raven, what I am about to tell you might seem very unusual and strange to you, but please keep
an open mind to it, just like you have with accepting me and your friend Joshua for who we are.
Mazie says to me, and I look at her confused wondering what on earth she could be ready to tell
me, that would need me to have an open mind for, but I shake my head, just wanting her to get it
over with.
“The Ryder family is a bit different from the rest of the families in our town. Each generation there
is a set of twins born or triplets in this generation’s case. They share a bond unlike any normal
siblings you are used to, but sharing a bond isn’t the only thing that they share.”
My head tilted to the side as I stared at Mazie, wondering what the hell she was talking about
when she said that wasn’t the only thing that they shared, as Chance’s words came flooding back to me, “What you do with my brothers is none of my business.”
