Chapter 70-1
Chance’s POV
With my uncle seeing that he had my full attention, he then continued the story by saying, “The Alpha had a daughter who ended up being mated to our greatest grandfather and our greatest uncles. Just like you and your brothers, they were triplets, mated to the same Alpha female. The eldest two were committed to taking her as their mate, which they did, but the youngest refused to take the Alpha’s daughter as his mate, breaking not only the sacred bond shared with our siblings, but also breaking a bond gifted to us by our Moon Goddess. Thankfully, though, it didn’t hinder the relationship between our two packs, but an heir to our bloodline was not conceived by the union with the Alpha’s daughter. Our greatest grandfather was the youngest of the triplets, and he had taken the Beta’s daughter as his mate, continuing our bloodline with a set of twin Alphas from their union.”
Relief at that moment washed over me, knowing that there weren’t any blood ties directly to Raven, but what my uncle says next puts me on edge. “Alpha Wilson also had a son, and that son had a daughter to his mate, who would be your mate’s greatest grandmother. Unfortunately, the Alpha son was brutally murdered by an Alpha rogue, putting an end to the Wilson’s Alpha bloodline, as the daughter that they had conceived never received her wolf when she came of age.”
“That explains why Raven doesn’t have a wolf, but you mean to tell me that our two families have been tortured every generation by a rogue Alpha?” I asked, interrupting my uncle, as I was in shock to hear that a rogue Alpha was also involved all those years ago.
“Yes, but not just any rogue Alpha, but the Rogue Alpha King himself and his sons. You see, the Rogue Alpha King had plans to take this territory from Alpha Wilson, and that was why they had killed his only son, but little did the Rogue Alpha King know that Alpha Wilson had an alliance with our family and our pack. Although our pack was falling on hard times, we still held the strength of three Alphas, and Alpha Wilson made us an offer our family couldn’t refuse. Avenge the death of his son, and his territory would be
ours.”
“So, they killed the Rogue Alpha King and were given this territory as payment?” I asked my uncle, as I believed I understood now what happened all those years ago with the territory coming into our hands
My uncle nodded his head, as he said to me, “Yes, but they made a crucial error, just like my father and uncle did. They allowed the Rogue Alpha King’s sons to live, which is why every generation comes back with an even bigger vengeance. They all must be killed, to stop this from ever happening again. Your father and I have been waiting for our moment to avenge our uncle’s death, and your father has even more of a score to settle with them, as he blames thern for the reason Carla left town.”
“I don’t understand why he doesn’t want to tell us the truth. We would be five Alphas strong united together under one pack. The Alpha Rogue King wouldn’t stand a chance against us.”
My uncle began to shake his head, disagreeing with what I had just proposed, as he said, “Don’t underestimate this new Rogue Alpha King. He is different from his previous successors, and I believe I know why.”
“What is so different about him?” I asked my uncle, as I thought about how well this rogue Alpha had been masking his scent compared to all other rogues that I have dealt with in the past, but as for me ever seeing him, or going up against him, he had avoided it thus far.

“Although I can not prove it, and Ms. Wilson has never disclosed it, even till this day. I believe that the previous Rogue Alpha King fathered her only child and awakened the Alpha wolf gene that has remained dormant all these moons within her kin.”
