Chapter 86-2
This time when he spoke, his voice didn’t hold security in it, but instead I could have sworn I heard a hint of fear radiate from it, with his unsteady words, “No one can bounce back that quickly from the lethal dose you were subjected to.”
It was now my turn to chuckle, as he had no clue what he was truly dealing with. My family wasn’t your normal family when it came to Alphas, as there had always been at least two of us at a time, but this time it was times three, making us even stronger than ever. We drew power and strength from each other, but we also drew strength from our shared mate, and if I was being honest, the power of healing I felt from Raven yesterday was immense and nothing like I had ever felt before.
“Care to find out? I asked him as I took another step towards him, noticing his hand gripping tighter around the syringe, almost making me chuckle from his now lack of arrogance.
Raising his hand with the syringe in front of him, placing it between the two of us, as if it’s going to be enough to stop me, he says, “That’s close enough.”
I watched as his hand shook unsteady, telling me that he wasn’t so sure of himself anymore, before he left it slip, “I don’t have to hold you off too much longer anyhow. He will be here soon to deal with you and the girl.”
A part of me wanted to stick around and find out who he was talking about, but unfortunately, the voice of reasoning in the back of my head was telling me that I needed to get the hell out of Dodge. Whomever this person was that had hired him could wait, because for now, I had to keep Raven safe for
sakes.

“Yeah, I don’t think I have enough time on my agenda for today to stick around. You’re going to have to give this mystery man my regards.” I tell him, as I take another step forward, but this time he takes a step back, making me realize that his threats held no merit to them with me.
I couldn’t help but chuckle as his back went flush with the door, while his free hand fumbled with the doorknob. He was the damn fool who had locked us inside the office, thinking that he had the upper hand on me, but he was now the one that was trapped.
“Oh, how the tables have turned.” I said sarcastically to him, as had him pinned with nowhere to go, and the only thing he had in his defense was a small little needle, which I had my own plans for, as it was time to give him a little taste of his own medicine.
“Come one step closer, and I will jab you with this.” He now says to me, as he swings the needle in my direction, but he doesn’t even come close to hitting me as he is too scared to step towards me.
His scent of fear was now present in the air, and it fueled my wolf, knowing that he had this piece of shit right where he wanted him. Ms. Wilson’s death was going to be the last one on his hands, as my wolf had plans of making him pay with his own life. The way I was now seeing it was an eye for an eye was what was in store for him, taken by his own concoction.
As he wielded the syringe in front of him with shaky hands, I surprised him by taking another step forward, but this time when I did, I grabbed onto his forearm. His eyes widened in surprise at my sudden gesture, but I didn’t give him much time to think about what I was doing, before I snapped his arm like a twig, taking control of the syringe, as a scream of pain radiated like a little bitch from his lips.

Before he even saw it coming, I jabbed him right in the chest with the syringe, injecting its mystery content into him. I heard him suck in a deep breath, before I heard him gasp for his next breath, telling me
whatever was inside this syringe wasn’t a normal sedative.
He grabbed tightly onto my shirt with his free hand, as liquid began to seep from the corner of his eyes, but it wasn’t tears that seeped from them. Deep, rich blood poured from not only his eyes, but now his nose and mouth too, and it was clear that this needle was meant for none other than me Unfortunately for him, he was now the new recipient of it, and by looking at what it was doing to his body, I was happy that I had avoided it.
Slowly his body slid down the door, and his grip on my shirt loosened, as he opened his mouth to say his final words, but nothing came from them. Death was too quick to come for him, and a part of me was upset that it was so quick as I felt like he should have suffered for what he had done to Ms. Wilson.
I watched as he took his last breath, thankful that the son of a bitch was dead, and he was one last person that we had to deal with, but I was now also worried if our enemy had this concoction in his hands too.
Seeing the second syringe on the ground beside his dead body, I picked it up, making sure that the needle was thoroughly capped, before sticking it in my pocket, and moving the dead body out of the doorway. The way I saw it, the real doctor was on vacation until the end of the month, so it was going to be awhile for his body to be found, unless he began to royally stink the joint up.
Moving to the wall, I turned the air conditioning on full blast before I moved back to the couch to retrieve Raven, knowing that we needed to get the hell out of here before the person who hired this fake ass doctor returned. Opening the door, I looked both ways, and decided my best bet was to go right through the front lobby where all the cameras were, because I was sure this individual on his way here didn’t want
to be seen.
Although it cost me a few glares, seeing me carrying Raven’s motionless body out of the hospital, we were able to make it to my jeep unscathed, and I didn’t hesitate this time to floor it back to Beaumont. This was definitely more than what I thought I had signed up for, but now I knew that my brothers and I had more on our plates than we could ever have expected.
