Chapter 94-2
As I started my truck up, Mazie asked, “How the hell does she know about Raven’s grandmother?”
Cash and I both sat there, staring out the windshield at Mrs. Jacobs, standing on the front porch, watch us like a hawk, while a smirk permanently sat on her face, as if she thought that she had won whatever game she was playing.
“The only way she could have known was if she was involved, and if I found out she was, I am going to make sure she pays for it.” Raven said from the backseat beside Mazie, making me turn my attention to my rearview mirror to see the fake smile no longer on Raven’s face, but in its place was the look of determination to get to the bottom of who was responsible for killing her grandmother.
Cash, at that moment, turned around to look at Raven, as he said to her, “Don’t worry Raven. If she has something to do with your grandmother’s death, and everything that is going on around here, we will ma sure she pays for it.”
Raven looked away from him, and I could tell that she was trying to keep it together. She had lost her grandmother today and almost died herself, and I honestly didn’t know how she was holding it together right now.
Cash turned to look at me with a look of despair on his face, and I knew he was feeling our mate’s pain a if it was our own. Through our mind link, he says to me, “We need to find out the real truth about what happened all those years ago, and why our uncle has been playing dead all these years. Something tells me it’s the key to stopping all this from happening again.”
Nodding my head to him, I put the truck in reverse, knowing damn straight that it was too late and that history had already begun to repeat itself, but I knew the one thing we could do was change the outcome. Something told me Raven was different from all those before her, and that she had a fire in her not even her mother had.
I knew there was only one way we were going to overcome all of this together, and that was that we needed to be honest with Raven about what we were, and who she was too. I had to wonder if Raven’s grandmother ever figured out the truth, as she had lived all those years alongside us all. I also had to wonder if her wolf ever tried to set itself free, and no one was there to help her, leaving her scared and alone, not knowing what was truly happening to her.
My family had done her family injustice over the years, as it was clear that they wanted to erase the Wilson’s bloodline and name from our history, placing themselves on a pedestal. But my brothers and I weren’t like our ancestors before us, and we weren’t going to allow that to happen. Raven was our mate, and she needed to know who she truly was, and that this pack was just as much hers as it was ours, as it was her ancestors that had originally founded it. It was also clear that our father loved her mother, but I wasn’t so sure our uncle felt the same way about her, leading me to wonder if he did go mad.
Pulling out onto the main highway, I headed towards Ms. Wilson’s house instead of towards my family’s ranch, as I wondered if there were answers that may lie there inside the walls of that small little house. Plus, Raven needed to pack more of her things, because, as I saw it now, she was moving in with us, as there was no way in hell she was ever going to return to that dilapidated house.
Raven wasn’t just our Luna to be, she was also from Alpha’s blood, and that house was by no means fit for someone of her status. Also, it was clear that she needed around-the-clock protection, and my family’s

ranch was exactly what she needed, because only a mad rogue would step foot onto our lands with four Alphas living under one roof.
Only a few minutes had passed before pulled off the highway onto Ms. Wilson’s lane, and as I slowly crept up her lane, I brought the truck to a halt when I noticed an unfamiliar car sitting in the driveway. My eyes instantly began to scan the area, as Cash mind linked me, “You take the front, and I will take the back
“Stay inside and lock the doors.” I said to the girls, as I put the truck in park, while Cash and I simultaneously got out of the truck and headed straight towards the house, wondering who the hell could be here.
It wasn’t like too many people ever ventured up Ms. Wilson’s lane before Raven got here, which had me thinking that it had to be someone coming back to finish the job that they failed at the hospital with Raven’s life. With that thought, my claws began to extend, and as Cash went to move around the side of the house, movement caught my eye from around the corner, making us both turn to move towards it.
Cautiously, we moved around the house, both peering around the corner, not knowing exactly what we were up against, because so many scents now lingered around the house, making me realize that the rogues had traced Raven’s scent here. I was now worried more than ever for her life, as it was clear that they would stop at nothing to get to her, including killing her grandmother.
The sound of a twig at that moment snapped, and before I knew what was happening, my body reacted, pouncing on top of the person that was coming around the corner of the house, as I let out a low growl, showing my dominance. A shriek of a scream came from beneath me, making me focus my eyes on the male figure beneath me, as my eyebrows furrowed as I looked at him, unsure if the shriek had come from
him.
As his face came into focus, he somehow looked familiar to me, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I was just about to ask him who the hell he was, when I felt myself being hit with a jolt of electricity.
It felt like I was being hit by a freight train, as the currents rushed into my body, while a female’s voice screamed at me, “Get off him!”
