Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 202

Chapter 106-1

Raven’s POV

I had been so consumed in fear because of the wolf that I hadn’t even noticed there was blood on Chase’s hand when he had emerged from the barn, now making me assume that he and Cash were engaged in a fight before I had arrived. It must have been the reason that I had heard their voices on the way to the barn, but what I still couldn’t understand was where Cash was the whole time the wolf was here. If anything, I would have thought he would have been the one that would have rushed to my side to protect me, but instead, it was Chase who had come to my rescue.

My eyes narrowed as I closed the distance between Chase and me, before I grabbed him by the arm, to make sure that it was indeed, blood on his hand that I was seeing. When I realized that it was, I knew there was only one possible explanation for it.

What the hell Chase? Why did you punch Cash?I said flat out, accusing Chase, as I released his arm from my grasp, now upset with him that he had hit his brother.

There was no denying that Cash and Chance were in the wrong last night, assuming the worst of Chase, but thought that it was water under the bridge when Cash apologized to him after we had shared a brief moment in his room. It had me now wondering what the hell they could possibly be fighting about.

Chase’s eyes narrowed as he looked at me in what looked like a state of shock, before he said to me, Of course you would take his side. What the hell was I even thinking?

That’s not what is happening here.I said backstepping, realizing that I should have chosen my words more carefully, because it was clear he thought that I was attacking him, making me worry that Chase was going to once again put his walls up.

Sure the hell sounds like it. I don’t know why I thoughtChase began to say but trailed off, as he turned his back to me, while he began to walk towards the barn, clearly upset that I would think so little of him.

Quickly I reached for him, trying to stop him from walking away from me, because I realized that I shouldn’t have jumped to the conclusion that he was in the wrong. I now feared that Chase would put the boulder of a wedge between us again and that I would lose what little progress the two of us had rnade. But as my hand reached out to him, the tips of my fingers barely grazed across the smooth flesh of his arm, before Chance stepped in my way, blocking me from being able to stop Chase.

Placing his hands on my shoulders, he looks down seriously at me, while he says, I think that maybe it’s best if you let us handle this.

I looked past Chance towards Cash and their father, as Chase made his way to the barn, knowing exactly how they were going to handle it. Shaking my head, I couldn’t allow them to blame Chase just like I had just done, because there had to be a reason why he did it. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be here defending Chase against his brothers and his father, but something was telling me that Chase was innocent in all of this.

But I think I was wrong for accusing Chase. I don’t think it was all his fault.” I said to Chance, pleading with him, and to my surprise Chance nodded his head, agreeing with me.

And my father knows that.” He then says to me, making me realize that I was the only one here that had accused Chase.

Cla

now felt like a total ass, especially after everything that Chase had done for me in the past two days, and Tknew that I needed to apologize to him, before it was too late.
