Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 208

Chapter 109-1

Chance’s POV

Seeing Raven interacting with my brotherswolves, my wolf and I couldn’t help but want the same

acceptance from her as they were getting, but unfortunately, when my wolf stepped forward next for her to accept us, there was evident fear in her eyes.

I should have known that my wolf would be the one she feared the most, as it resembled the rogue Alpha wolf that had attacked her. But my wolf and I were both determined that once she got over her fear of our appearance and saw us for who we were, she would accept us with open arms, just like my brothers.

Unfortunately, the approach my wolf was taking, of moving in slowly, wasn’t working, as she was retreating towards the horses, and I knew if she got the chance, she would make a run for it. To my surprise, though, Chase steps in her way, shocking not only me but her too, as she stares at him with confusion and betrayal, while he blocks her direct path to the horses.

Slowly, Raven turned back to face me, knowing that there was nowhere to go, and my heart sank in my chest, seeing the immense fear in her eyes now staring at me. I was sure that she thought that I was going to kill her, but that was so far from what I truly wanted from her.

As a head Alpha, we aren’t to submit to no one, but right now, I felt the need to submit to her, as I felt like I was losing my mate. But it wasn’t just me that felt this way, as my wolf began to fight for his own honor, before he lowered himself to the ground before her.

Raven looked taken back by my wolf’s gesture, leaving her standing there now in front of me, with a very extremely confused look on her face. I knew that my submission to her had caused this, but I honestly wish I knew what the hell she was thinking in that head of hers right now, as she looked to be at war with herself about what she was about to do next.

Cash, being Cash, steps in, nudging her with his snout, as if to tell her that I wasn’t a threat to her, but unfortunately, I was beginning to believe that the damage that the rogue Alpha had caused might just be too much for Raven to recover from. The feeling of worry and dread took over me, as I began to wonder if she would be able to accept me in my wolf form.

It was crazy to think that I was the first of the brothers in my human form that she had accepted, but here, right now in my wolf form, I seemed to be the last one that she was going to accept. That’s even if she did Somehow, Chase seemed to be the first that she opened her arms up to, and I had to wonder what had all transpired between her and him in his wolf form.

To say I was jealous would be an understatement, and I now knew exactly how Cash felt when Raven had accepted me and not him. It honestly felt like I was being stabbed right in the heart with a dull butter knife, making it even more forturous.

Lowering my head all the way to the ground, I let out a whimper, as my heart was now in a million little pieces as it begged Raven for her acceptance. Thankfully, as I stared up at her over the hoods of my eyes, I believe she began to hear my whimpers of sadness that were calling out to her.

The look of fear that once plagued her eyes slowly began to dissipate, and I could see her posture begin to relax before my eyes. Even though I could see the change in her, I didn’t dare to move, as was half scared that one sudden movement of my wolf would send her over the edge. So instead, I just lay before her at her mercy, praying to our Moon Goddess for her acceptance

Once again, Cash’s wolf nudged her in my direction, but this time she wasn’t so resistant to his little push as she now stared down at me, cocking her head to the side, while she says, You’re different from the one that attacked me.
