Chapter 112-1

Chase’s POV

This was definitely something that I hadn’t foreseen coming or even taken into real consideration. All the attacks that had happened up to this point had only involved one rogue, but today it looked like the rogue that had given the order wasn’t taking any chances of missing his intended target.

It was obvious that he wanted his message to be heard loud and clear, and right now, seeing the group of rogue wolves emerging from the shadows, I realized that he wasn’t playing around. Right now, I could really use my brothers, but unfortunately, they were a little tied up with the thing they had going on with Raven, so I was going to have to improvise with what resources I had.

Thankfully, Beaumont High School was exactly what it said it was, and I had a whole football team and student body of wolves at my disposal. But there were a few problems, and one of the problems was I had two humans standing right in the middle of our damn school parking lot, thanks to freaking Mazie.

The other problem, though, might even be bigger, and that was none of the student body was fully trained yet in combat. I knew if I enlisted them to help me, that I would be putting a lot of their lives in danger, but it was becoming a risk that I was going to have to take, as it was clear this attack was going down, and there was no other way of stopping it.

I realized that even if I let out a warning howl, alerting my peers of the rogues‘ presence, they were still going to attack with the numbers they had brought with them. But I knew if I now let out my warning howl, Mazie would at least get Raven’s California friends to safety and out of view of what was about to go

down.

With that thought, I knew exactly what I had to do, and I knew that I had to do it right now, because the rogues were closing in. Raising my head to the skies, I let out a warning howl, warning the entire student body of the rogues‘ presence, before I lowered my head, staring straight at Mazie, praying that she got the memo I just sent out.

Thankfully, her eyes instantly met with mine, and they followed my line of sight straight to the group of rogues sneaking into the parking lot. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention to what Mazie did next, because when my eyes settled on the group of rogues, their attention was all turned in my direction.

In a way, this actually might be a good thing, as their full attention was now on me. But then, on the other hand, I had to wonder if they were given a plan B, because it looked as if they were ready to reset their course straight at me.

Sure enough, the rogue that had first emerged from the shadows let out a howl, and before I knew what was happening all their eyes were set on me, as they began to race in my direction at full force. Even though I was an Alpha, and was stubborn as hell, I wasn’t stupid, and it was clear that I was outnumbered. especially when I didn’t have my brothers here right now to back me

On the other hand, it wasn’t a bad thing that their course was now set for me, as I could lead them away from the school, leaving everyone safely behind, and not having to involve any of them. Knowing that I had to make a decision in a split second now, I turned on the heels of my paws and took off like a bat out of hell, leading them all hopefully away from the school and aft my peers.

Making my way into the forest, taking the route I had just come, I decided to lead them onto my family’s ranch lands, but not near the house or where Raven was, but straight towards my beloved so–called dead

uncle My uncle had waited years to get his revenge, and I was sure that he would be elated to sink his Fleeth Into a few rogues, especially ones that had been sent here by one of the Rogue King’s heirs.
