Chapter 113-1
Cash’s POV
I should have known that Chase was going to try and ruin this moment with Raven, which was turning into a major breakthrough. With as well as Raven was handling meeting our wolves, we should in no time be able to come clean with her about our world, a world we now knew that she too belonged to.
Now knowing that the wolf that laid dormant within her could possibly lead to slowly killing her, there was no way that we could keep our world from her, regardless of what she chose to do. Raven needed to be made aware of what trials and conditions she was now up against in her life if her wolf didn’t come forward, and if it did, then she needed to learn our ways, as it was her Goddess given birthright to be a leader.
After what I had heard her say this morning, I realized that I had to do everything in my power to make her see that she belonged here, especially after the way she reacted to my wolf, even in the state of anger and betrayal he was in. It was the first time that I had truly been thankful to Chase, as he somehow saved the moment by sugarcoating the situation somehow over with Raven, as if he knew her better than we did.
But right now, he is a damn thorn in my side, especially after he shut off communication with me, blocking me out like a child, directly after telling me that I need my Beta to run. What little did he know, Mazie had shutdown communication between the two of us after I let her out to hang, and she still wasn’t done being pissed off at me for turning my back on her, so I had no way of getting a message to her even if I wanted
I began to find myself conflicted about what I should do, because I really didn’t want to leave this amazing moment that the three of us were sharing. But if Mazie was truly in trouble and so was Chase, I couldn’t very well continue to enjoy this moment with the thought of one of them being in danger.
As if Chance could sense my change in mood, he mind linked me, “What is it?”
My wolf’s head turned at that moment to look in his direction, and I had to chuckle at the sight before my eyes. Chance was still on his back, allowing Raven the upper hand, as she continuously rubbed his belly, like he was a damn domesticated pet. It was clear that he was enjoying every second of the attention she was giving him, as I could see the huge smile on his wolf’s face as he panted away, with his tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth.

A part of me didn’t want to ruin this moment he was having with our mate, as Lhonestly had no clue what the hell Chase was truly up to, but another part of me was concerned about Mazie, and after me not believing her, I felt like I owed her one. I honestly had no clue where the hell she even was, but I knew that my father had told her to keep Raven’s California friends busy for the day, as he didn’t know how well this was going to go.
So, there was no telling where the hell Mazie had taken them to, leading me to not know where to even start to look for her. But as I sat there pondering what to do, I decided that I wasn’t going to be able to continue to sit here enjoying this moment with our mate until I knew that Mazie was alright.
Getting to my feet, I mind linked my brother, “I need to check into something.”
Chance’s wolf gave me a confused look, as his head tilted to the side, and it was obvious that he was confused why I would leave a moment like this together with our mate. Trust me, I didn’t want to leave. but something was tugging at my gut, and until I knew Mazie was okay, I knew I wouldn’t be at ease.
