Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 221

Chapter 115-2

A whimper drew my attention away from the naked men, back to the silver wolf just staring straight at me, as he stood right in front of the horse. I almost jumped off the horse, as I had forgotten about him in the mix of everything happening. Getting a grip, I took a deep breath, as I stared straight into his eyes, wondering if he too was going to shift into a naked man.

As I thought back to when I had met this wolf this morning at the ranch, I thought about how pissy the wolf was at first and how he had come around after Chase had introduced him to me. But then I also remember Chase making jabs at him, before he attacked Chase, and the two of them rolled around wrestling on the ground until Evan came outside and stopped it. Looking back on all of it, there was one thing that I was still questioning and that was where the hell Cash had been the whole time.

At that moment, my eyes focused on the wolf’s eyes, and as I stared deeply into them, it felt like something was calling out to me. Instantly, I felt like a sense of familiarity took over, as I realized that the golden color in the wolf’s eyes was the same golden color that was in the tripletseyes, especially Cash’s.

I began to wonder how I had overlooked this until now, but then again, I was stressed out by everything that had been happening. Hell, half the time I didn’t know if I was coming or going or if I was going to survive another attack.

At this point, I honestly didn’t know what the hell was going on here, and what was real or make believe. Maybe I wasn’t crazy, nor was my mother, and that werewolves were real, and that she and I both dated one, or in my case, two, maybe even three.

Honestly, I had no clue how this whole thing would work, but something now was telling me that you didn’t need to get bit to be a werewolf, but that you were born with the gene, which made a hell of a lot of sense. Evan clearly was the wolf that had shifted right before my eyes, leading me to believe that if it was genetics then all his kin would be werewolves too.

Before I could stop myself, Cash’s name slipped from my lips, and the wolf’s ears at that moment perked up, all while his eyes widened. A shiver instantly ran through my body, as goosebumps formed on the surface of my flesh as I realized that this whole scifi thing wasn’t just in movies.

Clearly, I didn’t expect the silver wolf to react this way to me speaking Cash’s name, as I thought that just maybe I would prove to myself that I was losing my mind, but then I also wasn’t expecting what happened next either.

As if he knew his and his family’s secret was out, the silver wolf shifted right before my eyes, into a very naked Cash. I couldn’t help when my eyes decided to wonder south, making sure

that every part of his body was anatomically correct.

Swallowing hard, I looked away, thinking how very correct it sure was, but I needed to shake that vision from my mind. Right now, clearly it wasn’t the time to have my head in the damn gutter, especially when I just found out that my boyfriend and his brothers were all werewolves. Hell, his whole family, even their little old grandmother for that matter could be one, making me wonder if females could be werewolves too.

I honestly don’t even know why I was so laid back at this moment about it, and why I had a thousand questions running through my damn mind, when I knew that I should be running back to civilization, and on the first plane back to California. But instead, at this very moment, I found myself intrigued and wanting answers, doing quite the opposite of what my mother had obviously done.
