Chapter 116-1
Raven’s POV
“Raven, I can explain.” Instantly came from Cash’s lips, as he looked like he was ready to get down on his knees to beg me to hear him out, but the truth was this was exactly what I wanted.
I was more than willing at that moment to listen to everything that he had to confess to me. Even though I was having a hard time wrapping my mind around every crazy ass thing that was going through my head at that moment, it was actually now making me believe for the first time since the accident that I might not be crazy.
“Start talking.” Is all I said back to him, as I remained sitting on the horse, knowing that if I needed to get the hell out of here, I would have a better chance of staying on his horse’s back.
Although, I knew from just moments ago, I really didn’t have a fighting chance against the speed of the wolves. But for some reason, even knowing now what Cash and his family were, I didn’t feel threatened by them. Instead, something told me that all of them would never intentionally hurt me, but instead protect me, which is what it seemed like they were doing right now.
Cash looked up at me with a surprised look on his face, almost shocked that I was giving him a chance to speak instead of running away from what was happening. Fortunately for him, I needed answers if I was going to solve what happened all those years ago to make my mother leave here for good, and if anyone was going to be truthful to me, I knew that it was going to be him right now, because he was busted red–handed.
“Let me start by saying we aren’t the bad guys. The wolves that attacked you aren’t from our pack. They are rogue wolves, just like we told you they were.”
Well, at least not everything that they had told me was lies, but come to think about it, none of them really elaborated on my attacks, other than it was rogue wolves responsible for them, and that it wasn’t safe for me to be alone. Plus, they had all believed what I had seen in the girl’s locker room, and they made sure that someone was always with me telling they were trying to keep me safe. But I had to wonde

out that I am a wolf, and instead of freaking out, you want to know who is after you and why I should have known this was how you were going to respond.”
“How else would you like me to respond? Scream and run away from you? I probably wouldn’t make it very far, even with the help of your horse.” I confessed to him, thinking that any rational person probably would have responded like that, but rational was no longer in my vocabulary, especially after everything that had happened to me in the past two months
“Actually, yeah, that’s how I imagined you would respond, but know that I would never run you down to hurt you. You are my mate, and my brothers and I are to protect you with our lives. We would never do anything that would hurt you, not even Chase would.” Cash explains to me, making me remember the whole mate thing, but now wondering if there was more to it than the three of them sharing me.
“What exactly is a mate?” I asked Cash, now more curious than ever, to know what the hell! actually was to him and his brothers before this conversation went any further
