I had no clue who the hell he was talking about, but just the name frightened me, as all three of those names put together didn’t sound good. The name Alpha no doubt meant the strongest of all the wolves of a pack, and when you add the name King to it, it makes me want to believe that he was the strongest of all packs combined, which frighten the hell out of me. But when you add the name Rogue to the equation, I knew that it was a combination that couldn’t be good.

I was just about to ask him more on the subject when the school came into our view, and I let out a gasp as I saw mass chaos in full bloom in the school parking lot. Clearly, I wasn’t prepared to see what was unfolding before my eyes, but I should have realized it wasn’t going to be your normal fist fight.

Instead, the parking lot was a mix of students and wolves, and it was clear which ones were the good guys verses the bad ones, as the rogues‘ eyes were clearly glistening red in the sunlight. What I didn’t understand was why not all the students had shifted into their wolves, as they would have a better fighting chance obviously in their wolf form.

As Cash pulls my car off the side of the street that leads to the school parking lot, he turns to me and says, “Wait here.” As he moved to open his door, but if he thought that I was just going to sit in my car like a sitting duck, then I had news for him.

Opening my own door, I stepped out of the car simultaneously with him, and as soon as he turned to look at me, his eyes rolled as he says under his breath, “Why would I even think that you would listen to me.”

I moved around the front of my car, knowing that I was safer if I remained closer to him, as I

took in the complete chaos unfolding only a hundred feet from me. I began to wonder if I truly was insane to be walking straight into it when I could have hidden within my car, but if my friends were here, then I needed to do something to help save them.

“There is no way in hell I am sitting in my car waiting for one of those rogues to come for me. You said it yourself that you and your brothers are my mates and are here to protect me. So, start protecting me.” I told Cash before I began to walk towards the school parking lot, looking for any signs of Mazie and my California friends.

It didn’t take long for me to spot Mazie’s car in the far back corner of the parking lot, but it actually wasn’t her car that had drawn my eyes in the direction but the sound of Jacob’s screams, as he stood on top of Mazie’s car, screaming for help.
