Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 230

Chapter 119-2

But just as I thought that, I felt one of the rogues being ripped off my back, while another followed,

leaving me to turn my head, sinking my canines deep into the one closest to my reach. Before I

knew what was happening, the last rogue was being blasted off my back by some kind of

electrical force, and I looked up in just the nick of time to see Mazie’s wolf, along with the

California girl named Lexi.

If I was being honest right now, Lexi was pretty badass, but that still didn’t make up for the fact

that she had tased me when we first met. But then again, she sort of just helped save my life, and

she seemed to be taking all this chaos pretty damn well, making me wonder what her story was.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to linger around thinking about it, as a male scream echoed across

the parking lot in our direction. It didn’t take me all but a second or two to realize who the scream

was coming from, as Jacob was the only male in the parking lot screaming, but then again, he was

the only human male here.

Mazie and Lexi had left their post of protecting him to help save me, and now it was clear why he was screaming for help, as the rogues were surrounding the car he was standing on top of. I had

to wonder why on earth these rogues were going straight for him, but then I realized he must be

covered in Raven’s scent from her hugging him.

A pinch of jealousy washed through me, knowing that my mate’s scent was on another male that wasn’t one of my brothers, and for a brief moment, I stood there wondering how much of a mess it would be to cover up his death by a rogue wolf. But that thought was very short lived in my head, as I knew that Raven would never forgive me or my brothers for allowing it to happen. Plus, it was clear that he meant something to her, and I could never do anything purposely to hurt my mate, whether it would be physical or emotional.

Jacob! At that moment, carried loudly with the wind across the parking lot, and I turned, knowing exactly whose voice had called out his name, but I didn’t expect what I was about to see.

Cash was no longer in his human form but instead had shifted into his silver wolf. But it wasn’t the fact that he had obviously shifted right in front of her that was catching me off guard, but the fact that she was sitting on his back, like she was about to ride his wolf into the sunset. To be honest, I wish I could capture this moment, as Raven looked like a true Luna warrior mounted on one of her mates backs.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the sunset that she was about to ride one of her mates into, but she was gearing up to head straight into the middle of a war zone to save Jacob. I should have known she would disregard her own life to save another’s life, especially someone that she truly cared about, but I couldn’t allow her to go into the center of it all without taking the lead and making sure that

she was protected.

Letting out an Alpha howl, I grabbed everyone’s attention, before I charged through the parking lot like a raging bull, straight towards Mazie’s car, with Mazie and Lexi following suit right behind me,

as I cleared a path for them and everyone else that had my back. Thankfully, I made it into the

middle of the battle before Cash even geared up to charge forward, as it seemed as if he was

trying to stall, but unfortunately, our mate looked to be giving him hell for doing so.

I knew that he could only hold her off for so much longer, before she got off his back and charged ahead herself, leaving me a limited amount of time to take care of the threat to her friend Jacob

and the rest of our pack. But as I begin to take down the rogue wolves, I realize that they are

somehow multiplying with each one that I remove from the equation, making me wonder where

the hell they were coming from.

Once again, I sent a message out to our father, hoping that he would hear my SOS and bring our

warriors, as I feared that at this rate, I wouldn’t be able to keep the rogues at bay. Thankfully, I

noticed that most of our pack members that hadn’t received their wolves yet had made it safely

back to the school building, as all the roguesattention seemed to be now on me.

The problem was, I had put a massive target on my head, and they weren’t coming at me one by

one, but now in groups. Mazie, thankfully, stood by my side like the Beta she was born to be, and

she fought hard and strong for a she wolf. As for Raven’s friend Lexi, she somehow was zapping the hell out of the rogues, and I would have thought by now her little taser would have been out of

juice, but she clearly had that thing fully charged from last night.

But even as we stood together fighting the rogues, I didn’t feel like we were even making a dent in them, making me wonder if we were all going to survive this attack. Just as I thought that Cash charged forward straight towards us, with Raven on his back, as I heard Raven leave out a warrior’s call, while she held a shiny metal object above her head.
