Chapter 120-2
My cheeks instantly heated, as I turned away from him, realizing that I had just seen everything Cash had to offer, leaving nothing to my imagination. Something about seeing him like that shot
heat straight through my body to my core, like a dog in heat.
At that moment, I needed some cold water to splash on my face or hell douse my whole body in because I knew now wasn’t the time to think about this. It left me wondering if it was possible that
wolves could leave out some kind of pheromone that would create an overwhelming desire.
As I tried to push away my thoughts about my desire for Cash, something warm and wet at that moment nudged up against my free hand, and I quickly withdrew it, placing it behind my back. I turned around abruptly to see Cash in his wolf form, making me realize that it was his snout that
had touched my hand, as I let out a sigh of relief, while I shook the remaining desire for him out of
my mind.
Another familiar scream at that moment triumphed over everything else, drawing my attention to
the back of the parking lot towards Jacob. Mazie and Lexi were no longer in sight, and the rogue
wolves were now closing in on Jacob. My heart sank in my chest, knowing that I had to get to him,
and without a second of hesitation, I mounted onto Cash’s back, as I tightened my thighs around
his body, and took a solid grip of his mane with my free hand.
I was just about ready to nudge Cash with my heel to let him know that I was ready, but before I could, a low deep growl shook through the parking lot, drawing my attention away from Jacob, straight to Chance’s wolf. It wasn’t only my attention that Chance received, but it seemed as if every wolf and person left in the parking lot turned on queue in his direction, before he took off like
a bat out of hell towards Jacob.
Chance’s wolf was a force to be reckoned with, especially when he lowered his head and charged right through the rogue wolves, sending them flying out of his way, as Mazie and Lexi followed right behind him. It didn’t take them long to make it to Mazie’s car, placing themselves between the rogue wolves that were still standing and Jacob.
Chance immediately went to work, taking the remaining rogue wolves down, but as soon as one of the rogue wolves fell, it seemed that one was replaced by two. As for Mazie and Lexi, the two of them were holding their own, and after today, I will never tease Lexi again about carrying that damn taser of hers, as it was now doing an amazing job of saving her ass.
But all three of them were being kept busy with the rogues that were directly in front of them, that none of them were aware of what was sneaking up on the other side of the car. Not even Jacob, who had the upper position, was paying enough attention, as he too was focused on the fight in front of him, to turn around and see what was about on top of him.

Chapter 120-2
Knowing that I had to do something before it was too late, I let out my best version of a battle ofy drawing everyone’s attention now towards me. Raising the golf club in my hand, I tightened my grip around Cash’s wolf’s mane, while I prayed to God that I didn’t fall off Cash’s wolf. Taking a deep breath, I knew it was now or never, as I heeled Cash’s wolf in the side, giving him the go to
charge.
My entire upper body snapped back as Cash’s wolf took off full speed straight forward/into battle, taking me a second or two to sit back upright, as I didn’t have the luxury of a saddle and reins right now. When I finally readjusted my sitting position, I held the golf club tightly in my hand, ready to
swing it at any rogue that dared to stand in our way.
Of course, there had to be one or two in every crowd that had to be the hero, and right now, even
with these rogue wolves there were a few brave souls among them that wanted to test me. Winding up, I let the first unfortunate one have it, hitting him straight in the head. I could have sworn I saw teeth actually go flying through the air from the impact, but what I was sure of was he
wasn’t going to be conscious for a while after that hit, as his body went flying motionless to the
ground.
As soon as his body hit the ground, another rogue wolf charged at me, and I began to wind up
once again, but as I moved to swing the golf club forward at the next rogue, he was just a bit faster
than the first one. His speed made me miss my target of hitting him, but thankfully, Cash was quick
enough to extend one of his paws just in the nick of time to pierce him, sending the wolf off
balance and flying away from us.

I exhaled a long breath, relieved that Cash had my back, but that relief was short–lived when another rogue wolf came out of nowhere, spearing Cash’s wolf’s left side, sending me flying off his back, as I couldn’t manage to keep my grip. My body hit the ground with so much force that the golf club flew from my hand on impact, as I let out a grunt of pain from hitting the pavement of the parking lot so damn hard.
Even as the pain was registering, I knew that I couldn’t just lay there on my back, as I was now a sitting duck for the rogue wolves taking. With my head pounding, I pushed myself up into a seated position, as my hand moved to the back of my head, instantly being coated by warm liquid, telling me that I had busted my head open.
My eyes squinted together, as my vision began to blur, while I tried to make out what was happening right in front of me. Screams from Jacob once again outdid any other noise in the parking lot, making me turn my head in his direction to see him thankfully still standing unscathed on the top of Mazie’s car. What little I could make out was that he was pointing directly in my direction, but what I couldn’t understand was why he was pointing at me.
It wasn’t until I felt the warm breath against my back that made the hair on my arm stand up, did I

realize that I was in a whole lot of trouble. I was no longer in the position to save anyone, as I was now the one in desperate need of saving.
