Chapter 133-1
Cash’s POV
The attack on the school had left one hell of a mess, and unfortunately, was the one left behind to deal with the aftermath with our father Chance had taken off with Raven, getting her the hell out of here and hopefully to safety, while I was the one that had to deal with damage control.
In a way, I was thankful for the distraction right now, because I knew when I got back to the ranch, I was never going to hear the end of bringing Raven straight into the middle of an attack. I now not only had Mazie pissed off at me, but I was sure that Chance wasn’t too happy with me either, leaving me to wonder who was next on my list to piss off.
In all fairness, Raven really didn’t leave me a choice in bringing her there. Yes, I could have denied her, but I knew if I did, then she would only find a way to the school herself, putting her life in even more danger than it already was. If there was one thing that I had learned about Raven since she had arrived, it was that she was stubborn as a mule, and that she would do anything to save those that she loved.
Her actions were a testament to the blood that was running through her veins, as only an Alpha would think so little of their life to put it directly on the line to protect their pack. Today, Raven showed that courage, as she rode on my back into battle, raising that damn golf club in the air like a sword, facing the enemy head on with no fear. Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out the way she wanted it to, but all that matters is that we are all alive, and the threat is no longer.
Thankfully, my father came just in the nick of time to stop anyone else from getting hurt. Unfortunately, there had been a ton of damage done to the school property by the rogues before he arrived, and there were at least a dozen students that needed medical attention, but thankfully, we didn’t lose a single sole
to the attack.
It honestly had me wondering what their purpose was for the attack, as there was no doubt in my mind that we should have immense casualties. We had clearly been outnumbered, at least four wolves to one, but for some reason, these rogue wolves were holding back with the kill. It was as if this attack was used as some sort of distraction, but the question was to what.
Now that everything was under control, I drove back to the ranch, hoping that everyone had made it safely back, since I hadn’t heard from a single sole. But of course, why would I think that any of thein would contact me, as it was clear that they were all still pissed off at me.
ľ
I was just about to turn off on the back road that led to the ranch, when Mazie out of nowhere was in my head, taking me off guard.
“Cash, you need to get to Ms. Wilson’s house now!” Was all that came through, and when I tried to ask her why, it was as if she blocked me right back out.
A growl radiated from my chest, as I was beyond frustrated with her, while I whipped the steering wheel, changing my course of direction back onto the highway. Not knowing what the hell I was getting myself into, I tried to open a line of communication between my brothers and me, but unfortunately, neither of them responded.
It was unlike Chance to not respond back, but then again, I knew he was probably with Raven. As for Chase, it wasn’t unusual at all, but when I actually did need him, it would be nice for once in his damn life for him to respond to me.

Turning off the road onto Ms. Wilson’s lane, I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but as I cautiously drove up the lane to the house, I could tell you this wasn’t it. There were no cars parked in the driveway, but every light in the small house was on, making me wonder who exactly was there and why.

Chapter 133-2
It wasn’t until I had the vehicle parked, did I see Raver’s friend Jacob race around the front of the house i only his pajama pants. Instantly, I knew something was very wrong, as I knew there would be no way in he this guy would be outside roaming around by himself, especially after what he had witnessed at the school firsthand. Something was telling me that whatever it was inside the house was far worse than his fear of what was outside, making me now worry about what exactly I was dealing with.
When I come into his view, Jacob stops dead in his tracks, as he begins to shake his head, while he says, No, no, no. Not another one of you.” As fear now was present in his eyes, making me question what the hell was wrong here.
Jacob began to walk backwards, as if he wanted to free himself from my presence, but I couldn’t allow him to get away, as I needed to know what the hell I was dealing with here. But as I moved to track him down around the side of the house, I heard a growl coming from inside, and I knew that growl from everywhere.
Knowing that Chance was inside the house, I stopped my pursuit of Jacob, and raced towards the front door, knowing that my brother was inside and was probably needing my help. But as soon as I opened the door to the house, I was hit with the most enticing scent I had ever smelled in my entire life.
The scent not only called to me, but it also called to my wolf and awoke all my senses at once, as I stood there in the doorway, trying to get my bearings, while I realized that there could be only one explanation to what was going on here.
Another Alpha growl echoed from back the hallway out into the living room, but this time that growl didn’t belong to Chance. There was no doubt in my mind that that particular growl belonged to Chase, and I am now worried about Raven’s safety.
Yes, both my brothers were her mates, and neither of them would do anything to hurt her intentionally, but that didn’t mean that they wouldn’t hurt her by accident in their drunken haze from her heat. It was taking everything I had within me to stop myself from entering the house at this point, as I knew that once I did, I too would be lost in the haze.
But then I heard a scream coming from back the hallway, and carried right through the house as if it was directed right at me. All the restraint that I was holding onto at that moment went out the window, as I couldn’t hold back any longer from entering the house.

It didn’t take me all but two steps back the haliway to find the bathroom door wide open, with steam rolling from within it, out the opening of the door. Grabbing onto the doorframe, I peered inside the extremely small bathroom, to see my brothers hashing it out, with a shirtless Raven bent over in the bathtub, crying out in pain.
The two of them were definitely lost to the haze of Raven’s heat, as the steam rolling off her body was clearly carrying pheromones, begging us to take away her pain. As I looked between my brothers and Raven, I was at a loss about what to do, as I wanted nothing more than to go to her, but I also knew that if I didn’t stop my brothers in their heated standoff, it might not end too well for either of them.
Seriously, I found myself torn, and just when I thought that I could fight the irresistible fragrance now coming from her, Chase plows into Chance, and the two of them come flying in my direction. With only a second to respond, I stepped to the side just in the nick of time, before they flew across the hallway into

My first thought was to break them up, but when I stepped back towards the bathroom door, all thoughts of helping them flew from my mind. Slowly, I turned to look back inside the bathroom to see Raven once again crying out, as she continued to hold her abdomen in what I assume was excruciating pain.
My only thought now, being her mate, was for me to go to her and help her the best that I could, and that was exactly what I did. Without giving myself more time to overthink the situation, I entered the bathroom, moving straight to Raven’s side. Instantly, Raven reached for me, as tears poured from her eyes, while I barely caught my name painfully slipping from her lips, as if she was begging me to help her.
Unfortunately, I knew there was only one thing that would take away her pain right now, but I had made a pack with Chance that neither of us would take Raven’s innocence until she was of age. Plus, since she technically had chosen him first, we had agreed that he would be the one to mark her first, followed by me. But right now, I wasn’t quite sure if I could honor that pack that we had made, as Raven needed one of us to be there for her, and at this moment it seemed like the only one of us with a level head was myself.
Not giving it a second thought, I swooped Raven up in my arms and began to carry her out of the bathroom. Warm water dripped from Raven’s hair down my arms, as her hands moved to hold on tightly to me, while I carried her back the hallway to her grandmother’s bedroom.
Unfortunately, I knew there was no way in hell that I was going to be able to place her in her own bed to make her feel comfortable, as my brothers were still going at it in her room. Thankfully, neither of them had even noticed that I had removed Raven from the bathroom, leaving me to be able to deal with her on
my own.
But as I moved into her grandmother’s bedroom and placed her body onto the bed, Raven was reluctant to let go of me. Instead, her arms wrapped tighter around my neck, pulling me down onto the bed with her, before I felt her lips crash against my own with a fury/
A part of me knew that this was her heat causing her to be so aggressive, but even though I knew this, I too was becoming very much affected by the pheromones she was putting off. I honestly couldn’t hold myself back a moment longer from wrapping my own arms tightly around her, pulling her body even closer to my own, as I kissed her back with the immense passion I had been holding back all this time towards
her.
It was amazing to finally feel like I could allow my heart to fully open with her, as there were no secrets now between us. But that short moment of passion that I was having with Raven was short–lived, when ! felt an immense pain course through my veins, making me roll from on top of Raven onto the floor beside the bed.
