Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 308

Chapter 154-1

Cash’s POV

Clim

The tall man that entered the circle stared at me in silence, as there was no doubt in my mind he was deliberating whether I was a threat or not to his people. I knew giving my word probably meant nothing to him, since it was apparent from what I had found a few miles back on the path here that one of my kind had already clearly attacked one of theirs, but I would go as far as swearing on my mother’s grave that no harm would come to anyone here, as long as I got Raven back.

As if this bigfoot could sense my alpha’s blood, and I was sure that even though he wasn’t of my kind, he could still sense the dominance of my Alpha wolf, just like I could sense that he wasn’t the leader of this clan, he finally said to me, Carl said that one of your kind would come for the she wolf. I just didn’t expect it to be so soon, nor did I expect it to be an Alpha, but that somewhat explains now why the rogue was persistent.

Relief at that moment washed through me like a tidal wave, as it was clear that Raven was here, and by the sounds of it she was okay. I honestly owed these people my life for keeping her safe in my absence, and I needed to let them know that my brothers and I would forever be in their debt for keeping her safe.

I am deeply sorry if any harm came to your people because of my mate. My mate was unfortunately kidnapped by a witch, and I honestly have no clue how on earth she ended up in the middle of nowhere. You and your people have my deepest gratitude, and your protection will not go unforgotten, as I am in your debt.

The man nodded his head to me, as he turned to look at his clan, before the ones behind him stepped to the side, while he said to me, I shall take you to your mate, so that you can be on your way.

Without hesitation, I got out of the sport utility vehicle, and began to cautiously follow the man, even though I was pretty sure that he and his clan meant no harm to me or Raven. After everything that had happened in these past couple of weeks, I wasn’t quite sure who was a friend or foe anymore, and even though bigfoots were known as gentle giants, it was clear that one of them had put up a valiant fight to protect their clan and my mate.

Hello. What about me?Jacob called out, still sitting in the sport utility vehicle, which was actually a good place for him to stay, because, by the looks of things, these bigfoots that were surrounding us, didn’t look like they were leaving anytime soon.

Without turning around, I just peered over my shoulder at him, as I said, Wait here, I won’t be long.”

But…” Jacob began to say, but I didn’t give it even a second thought, as I turned my attention back to what was in front of me, knowing that he would be fine where he sat.

As we made our way through the tents and towards the other side of camp, I couldn’t help but look around in amazement at how many there were of their kind on this particular retreat of theirs. I mean, I knew that they existed and that they had clans, just like we had packs, but I had to wonder how many clans were actually here joined peacefully together as one unit.

My brother Chance was always the one with the business head, trying to figure out ways to make our territory profitable for our pack so that our land could provide for our people. I, on the other hand, was more of the easygoing lucky brother, who was always the peacekeeper among everyone, especially between my two brothers.

Seeing so many of them peacefully gathered here in one area, I had to wonder what their secret was in keeping the peace between their clans. There were a million questions running through my head that I wanted to ask their kind, especially seeing all the different flags now hanging high above their tents, signifying the different clans that were joined here. But unfortunately, I knew this wasn’t the right time to ask, even though I would love to know how they all lived so peacefully and in harmony with each other.
