Once again, Jacob says to me, with even more urgency in his voice this time, “We need to get the hell out of here.” And honestly, he didn’t need to tell me twice.

But just when I began to think of how I was going to get us all out of here alive, I heard a howl ring out, but this wasn’t the howl that I had heard previously. For a moment, I was hoping that he had left his minions to do his dirty work, but by the sounds of it, he was close by and would be here in a matter of no time, making me realize the urgency of getting the hell out of Dodge.

“Get in!” I yelled out to Jacob, as I reached across me to buckle my seat belt, knowing that I was going to have to try this one more time.

Unfortunately, my first experience driving one of these damn things didn’t go so well, but hopefully the second time was a charm, as I was once again left with no other choice.

“Just like driving a car.” I said out loud to myself, as I leaned forward, turning the key in the ignition, hoping that it would start.

Thankfully, its engine revved to life, but as it did, it captured the attention of the rogue wolves, making them all look in our direction. In a way, it was a good thing, as it acted as a distraction for Mazie and Carl to take the upper hand on the ones that they had directly in front of them, but as for the other ones, it was clear who they were going to gun it for.

Putting the sport utility vehicle into drive, I looked over at Jacob, making sure he was buckled in, because I knew what needed to be done if we were all going to get out of this alive. Knowing that it had worked for Mazie, I gunned it, heading straight for a group of rogue wolves, wanting to eliminate them from the equation before the rogue Alpha returned.

“What the hell are you doing?” Jacob screamed out, as he held onto the bar in front of him, and I guess I should have warned him of my plan, but it was far too late for that now, because I was committed at this point..

Putting my foot to the floorboard, I gave the machine’s engine everything that it had, as headed full force towards the rogues, hoping to immobilize as many as I could. But unfortunately, Mazie’s little stunt didn’t work for me, as they had obviously seen me coming. unlike her.

But as I came around the corner of the cabin, being followed by these rogue wolves, I found myself in a bit of a predicament, as the rogue Alpha wolf appeared directly in front of me, blocking my direct path.
