Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 330

Chapter 164 1

Chapter 164-1

Raven’s POV

To my surprise, Jacob reaches for his seat belt, but instead of unbuckling it, he doublechecks to make sure that it is latched securely, before he says, “It’s ride or die at this point. Besides, who else is going to be your Thelma?

The sides of my lips curled up ever so slightly into a smile, as I should have known that Jacob would never abandon me, especially in a time like this. I was there for him when he needed me the most, and here he was staying right beside me like only the truest of friends would do, proving to me that Jacob’s friendship was as real as it gets.

Taking a deep breath, I turned my attention back ahead of me just in time to see the rogue Alpha gain momentum with Cash’s wolf. My heart sunk in my chest as I heard the slightest whimper of pain come from him.

As the whimper continues to carry in my direction with the wind, the rogue Alpha at that moment takes advantage of Cash’s pain, tossing his wolf a good ten feet away from him. I watched Cash’s wolf land with a hard thud on the ground, and as his wolf tried to get up, I could see where his pain was coming from. The blood that I had feared staining his beautiful silver coat was definitely his, especially the blood on his left hind leg.

Watching him struggle to try and get up was enough to rip my heart straight out of my chest, and by the determination in his eyes, he was doing everything in his power to try and push forward, but I feared that it might not be enough. Thankfully, I could see though that Cash’s wolf wasn’t the only one that had suffered injuries from the altercation, as blood also seeped from the back of the rogue Alpha wolf.

Unfortunately, even though both of them had sustained injuries, the rogue Alpha maintained a slight advantage in size over Cash, as his wolf roughly stood about a foot taller than Cash’s, reminding me of Chance’s massive black wolf. Noticing this, I knew that Cash needed my help to even the playing field and get back into the fight.

Even though I knew that there wasn’t much I could do, giving him the slightest advantage could make the biggest difference, as there was no doubt in my mind that he was the only one here with a fighting chance against the rogue Alpha, even with him being hurt.

Removing my foot from the brake and holding the petal once again to the metal, I steered the vehicle straight towards the rogue Alpha, this time firmly gripping the steering wheel, not allowing myself to chicken out or steer away from him no matter what the case may be. Thankfully, he was so consumed by his damn macho male ego to finish Cash’s wolf off, that

he had a onetrack mind, blocking out everything else around him, that he didn’t even see or hear me gunning it for him.

It wasn’t until I was a couple yards away did his head turn in my direction, but unfortunately for him, it left him no time to veer out of my path, as I held the wheel steady and braced for impact. Looking him straight in the eyes, I screamed out loud, Go to hell! Before I rammed right into the damn side of him.

I should have known hitting an Alpha wolf was going to be like hitting the tree last night, but there was nothing that could have prepared me for the impact that I felt doing so. It was like I had hit a damn brick wall head on, and my body instantly began to feel it, especially my ribs that were still healing from last night, as the seat belt dug right back into them.

A scream of pain inadvertently came from my lips, as the vehicle came to an abrupt halt, yards from where the impact had happened. Tears instantly began to form in my eyes, and I tried to hold them back, because right now I don’t have the luxury to let them flow freely.
