Chapter 166-2
Sliding to a halt in front of the small opening, I don’t waste a second getting down on my knees, as I try and press my shoulders through the opening. I wasn’t a large girl by no means, but right now, I was feeling like a giant, as this opening wasn’t meant for someone my size. But as I twisted and pushed my way forward, some of the branches gave loose, allowing the opening to expand just enough for my upper half to fit through.
I was just about to allow myself to feel relieved as I began to pull my legs forward, knowing that there was no way in hell the rogue Alpha would be able to fit. Unfortunately, that feeling only lasted a very short second, as I felt something extremely sharp slice straight through the flesh of my left leg, making me scream out in excruciating pain.
Instantly, I could feel the warmth of my blood seeping freely down my leg, but I knew that I had to burrow my way deeper into the thickness of the foliage if I was to survive. As I try and pull my left leg forward towards the rest of my body, a sharp pain runs the whole length of it, but that doesn’t stop me, because right now, all I was feeling was immense pain.
Crawling on three limbs, I dragged my left leg now behind me, as I pushed my way through the tightness of the opening, while the opening’s sharp edges scratched the hell out of my exposed flesh. Even though my flesh is beginning to feel like it’s on fire, those scratches were nothing compared to what my body has already succumbed to.
Honestly, I knew that there would be a point where the pain would eventually be too much for me to bear, and that my body would just give out on me, but right now, I was doing my best to continue to push forward. I wasn’t doing this just to survive, but for the survival of my friends too, which I believed was the only reason my body was able to continue.
Blocking out the low growls coming from behind me, I pushed forward a couple more feet, noticing that the narrow opening looked as if to widen greatly, making me push forward even faster, hoping for relief from the torture of my flesh being sliced opened by the razor–sharp edges of the thick foliage. As my head made its way into the larger opening, I let out an immense sigh of relief, as I pulled the rest of my body into it.
The larger opening looked as if an animal had made its den, with enough room in it for me to easily sit up thankfully, so that I could take a good look at my leg and the damage that was done to it. But as I turn around and move to sit up, I almost pass out at the sight of my leg. making me turn my head away quickly from it, as I try and hold it together from the panic attack I feel coming on.
By now, with everything that I have endured, you would think that the sight of blood wouldn’t affect me as much as it was, but from what I had just taken a quick glance at, there was a little more than just blood involved. Honestly, it looked as if my flesh had been tom away.

exposing things inside of me that I never wished to see outside of a scan at a doctor’s office. Just the mere thought of it right now was turning my stomach, and if I had anything in it, I was sure I would have up chucked it by now.
“You think a stack of twigs is going to protect you? I have news for you Cuz, I can smell your blood, and by the smell of it, you will bleed out on your own by night’s end.” His uncanny words echoed through my head, and I didn’t even have to take a second glance at my leg to know that he was right, as I could still feel the warmth of my blood trickling down the side of my leg.
