Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 343

Chapter 169-1

Raven’s POV

No longer able to hold back my screams, I let them bellow out from deep within my core, as my assailant pulled me through the sharp foliage. My hands desperately tried reaching for anything and everything that they could grasp onto to put up a resistance, but they had come up short until they finally found a root that was protruding from the ground.

Gripping as tightly as my battered hands could to it, I held on for dear life all while I tried to free my legs from my assailant’s grasp. Unfortunately, my desperate attempts to free myself were just that, as his grip painfully tightened even more around my ankles with each kick and pull of my legs.

The small razorlike cuts that I had on my hands began to bleed as I held on tightly to the root, while my assailant pulled my body taunt, extending me to my full length. Realizing that he was much stronger than I was at this game of tug of war, and that I was using up way too much energy by trying to avoid the inevitable, I decided to stop resisting by letting go of the root, allowing my assailant to fully pull me from the depths of the cavedin foliage.

As my assailant pulled my body towards him, I did my best to roll myself over onto my back, preparing to try and catch him off guard by attacking him first. But as my body finally emerged from the foliage, nothing could have prepared me for the gruesome sight before my

eyes.

Cash had clearly done a number on him, and in all honesty, I had no clue how it was even humanly possible for him to still be standing, especially with the amount of wounds on his naked flesh covered in blood. But as my eyes made their way up his body taking in all the blood and gore, I realized that wasn’t even the scariest part, especially when my eyes made contact with his.

Letting go of my legs, he quickly reached down, grabbing me by the shoulders before I could even think about reacting to the moment of freedom that he had just given me. Before I knew what was happening, he lifted me into the air with little to no effort, as he let out a snarl, opening his mouth bearing his canines right at me.

A gasp inadvertently slips from my lips now that I was face to face with him, as I took in the unrecognizable features of his face covered in immense blood and debris, before I stared him straight into his eyes once again. This time though, I was up close and personal, and at this proximity I could see that the whites of his eyes had been tainted by blood too, making him look like the devil himself.

Through his gritted teeth, he breaks the silence and the stare off between the two of us by

saying with a low growl to me, I am going to make you pay for this. Before he leans abruptly forward, headbutting me right on the forehead.

Instantly, I saw stars as my vision blurred from the blunt force that my head had just taken, and even though darkness threatened to take me, I didn’t allow it to, as I knew that once I did, then everyone that I cared about was as good as dead. So instead, I squinted my eyes tightly together, trying to bear down the new pain that it caused, while I tried to muster the strength inside of me to fight back.

Unfortunately, by the grip he had on my shoulders, it was apparent that even in the poor state he was in, he was still so much stronger than I ever could be, leaving me feeling a bit hopeless that I could take him. But I knew that I had to give it everything that I had, because I wasn’t about to just hand my life so easily over to him.

Normally, I was the kind of person that had a plan for everything that I did, but unfortunately, right now, I was going to have to improvise, as I had no clue what the hell I was going to do. He was beyond stronger than anyone I had ever met before, and I knew if I was going to defeat him, then I would have to be smart about it, because my strength amounts to nothing compared to his. Plus, there was the fact that he was a rogue Alpha, and from what I have learned thus far, he was stronger than just a normal wolf, which was clearly a huge disadvantage to me since I wasn’t exhibiting any traits of a wolf just yet.
