Chapter 169-2
Lowering my head slightly, wanting to avoid direct eye contact with him so that he couldn’t see that his headbutt affected me, I slowly opened and shut my eyes a few times, praying that the stars would disappear from my vision. Thankfully, it only took a couple of seconds for them to start to dissipate, before I fully opened my eyes, staring straight down at a body part that made me quickly close my eyes once again.
In any other circumstances, my face would be a million shades of red, but right now at this moment it was a different story, as I realized that this particular body part of his was what was going to give me the upper hand. Big bad rogue Alpha or not, he still had the body parts of a male human, and I knew that the plan brewing in my head was exactly what I needed to do to take his ass down. I was hopeful that there was no way in hell that this body part of his was indestructible just because he was some supernatural freaking creature, and with any luck he would go down like a ton of bricks with one swift kick to it.
Thankfully, he was a complete idiot for allowing my legs to be freed, because right now they were the best weapon I had against him. Unfortunately, my one was still throbbing, not quite as bad as it was before, but I knew that it was my good one that was going to have to do the dirty work.
At that moment, more harsh words began to spit from his lips like venom towards me, but in all honesty, they sounded muffled, especially after I heard him say, “I’m going to make sure that your friends suffer a long excruciating death for meddling with my business.”
Those words of his stroked a fire to life inside of me, and all I could hear was the sound of my heart heavily pounding in my chest, as the world around me muted out. My head was clear but also felt like it was spinning out of control at the same time, while my flesh began to tingle. But that tingling sensation quickly turned into the feeling of a slow burn, and I opened my mouth to let out a scream, but instead of a scream, what sounded like a low growl radiated from deep within me.
My head lifted as the growl continued to flow from my lips, and once it was fully raised, my eyes popped open, staring my cousin once again straight in the damn eyes, but this time, I wasn’t frozen in fear from the gruesome sight of him. Instead, the tables had turned, and he was the one now staring at me with widened eyes, as if I was somehow putting the fear of God in him.
Honestly, I had no clue what the hell made him so frightened, but I really didn’t care what it was because I was going to take full advantage of the moment by raising my leg and kicking him straight in the junk as I had planned to. As I did this, his hands instantly released my shoulders, dropping my body without warning to the ground, but somehow, I managed to land

on both my feet, with little to no pain, while I watched him begin to bend forward in front of
Not of my own will, my hand raised high above my head, and I quickly looked up at it, wondering what the hell was happening, but before I could even have a moment to think about it, my hand came down with so much force, swiping in a sideways motion. Before I knew what the hell happened, fresh warm blood sprayed in my direction, and my cousin that was once standing in front of me, was no longer.
My eyes once again opened and closed as they tried to flutter away the blood that splattered onto my eyelashes, while my head turned slightly to look at my hand that was still raised in the air. For a split moment, I could have sworn that I saw claws protruding from the tips of my fingers, but as my eyes blinked away the blood that was obscuring my vision, all I saw was my hand completely covered in blood.
Taking a deep breath, trying not to lose my shit, I tried to calm my nerves before my eyes moved from my hand to the fleshly blood–soaked ground in front of me, where my cousin’s motionless body lay. Instantly, my feet stumbled backwards as I realized that his head was no longer completely attached to the rest of his body.
It had to honestly be the most horrific site that I had ever seen, especially when I noticed that his eyes were still open staring straight at me. My mouth opened once again to let out a scream, but my screams still were muted as another growl surprisingly came from my lips and echoed through the valley.
Blood began to seep towards my feet like a flowing stream from my cousin’s severed head, forcing me to take another step back from the carnage of his mutilated body. But as I took those few steps back, trying to put as much distance between myself and what was left of him, I realized that I wasn’t alone.
Turning around in a full circle, it didn’t take long for me to figure out that I was surrounded by the enemy. It was clear by the looks of things that I was outnumbered anyway that you looked at it, and that there was no way in hell I was going to be able to fight my way out of this one. Plus, I was sure most of them had probably just seen me kill their Alpha, and because of that I was pretty positive that they would seek redemption.
Sure enough, they lifted their heads to the sky and simultaneously let out a low growl, which I was a hundred percent sure was directed straight toward me, before they all lowered their bodies to the ground. By the look in their eyes, I braced myself the best that I could for what was to come, as they all looked like they were going to pounce on me at once.
