Of course, it was in a good way, at least I think, as it sent shivers throughout my entire body, making butterflies dance in my belly. But I guess in a way that was exactly what I was afraid of, as my body was desperately yearning for more of his touch.

The room was now eerily quiet, as I remained just standing there, with my back to Cash, trying to just breathe, knowing that we were now alone behind closed doors. If it wasn’t for Cash’s warm breath now tickling my neck, I would have thought that he had left me alone, but it was clear that he was fighting the same urges as I was.

Cash had come all this way to save me, and that meant the world to me, knowing that he would travel two states away from home, on a wild goose chase to find me. His actions spoke volume, and it was clear that he would risk his life to protect me, and right now, I wanted more than ever to show him how thankful I was to have him in my life, but I was sort of scared to open up to him.
