My eyes focused on where Liam had pointed and sure enough you could see the faintest

movement.

“There has to be at least a hundred rogue wolves.” Cash now said with panic in his voice, as he took a step closer to the window, like he was trying to get a precise number of what we were up against. But unfortunately, we didn’t have time to be calculating, when what we needed to be doing was rallying the Alpha Rogue King’s men for battle.

Knowing this, I turned with full intention to gather the army, but Liam was already heading out the door, making me wonder if he planned on taking over for his grandfather, even though he clearly had shown no interest in doing so.

“Umm… Chase, which direction did we leave Raven with Chance?” Cash now asked with extreme worry in his tone, as I turned my attention back out the window, now scoping the landscape from the top floor of the estate.

When my eyes landed on the area, I was sure we had come from, the word, “shit” slipped from my lips, as I felt my heart sink in my chest, knowing that Chance and Raven were in the direct path that the army of rogues was heading here in.

“That’s what I thought. We have to warn them.” Cash said as we both turned on our heels, racing towards the bedroom door, knowing that we couldn’t leave them out there alone or they would get

slaughtered.

But just as we make it to the door, the damn thing slams right in our faces. Before I could even

think about stopping Cash, he reached for the doorknob, and this time he wasn’t so damn lucky.

“Son of a bitch.” He yells out, while he begins shaking his hand in the air just like I had done. A part

of me wanted to be a d**k to him, like he had been with me, but I kept my comments to myself,

especially after the little moment we had.

Turning, I glared at Lexi, knowing that she was once again up to no good, but by the look on her face, she wasn’t going to be able to hold that door closed much longer.

“What the hell do you want?” I asked her as I marched across the room towards her, knowing there

wasn’t much fight left in her right now.

Unsteadily, Lexi moves to get to her feet, but this time I don’t dare to help her. Instead, I kept my distance, allowing her to use the arm of the couch to hold herself upright while she finally said to me. “You need to find Raven and bring her straight back to me. She is now the only person that can

save him”

“Save him?” I sarcastically asked, before I huffed, turning to see the shell of a man that was left

lying on the bed.

I had bought their bullshit for days now, about them being the only ones that could save us all, but

now she admits to me that Raven is the only one that could save him. Shaking my head, I turned

back to Lexi, before I took a step towards her, knowing damn straight that she was no longer

strong enough to overpower me.

Through gritted teeth, I say to her, “Over my dead body will I allow my mate anywhere near either of the two of you again.” And then I let out one hell of an Alpha growl, letting her know that I meant
