Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 455

Chapter 234-2

My father remained silent while he got to his feet, shaking off the debris that covered his fur fr the hit he had taken from Raven, before he finally says to his brother in a cool tone, I did what best for all of us.As if that was some kind of excuse for what he had clearly done.

Knowing that his brother had just admitted, in not so many words to his betrayal, my Uncle Eth wolf took another step forward, closing the distance between them, as he let out a low warnin growl. His growl was so ferocious that it ruffled the fur on my father’s wolf, before he said to hi coldly, What gave you the right to choose what was best for me? Have you forgotten so easily that I am the firstborn son? Everything you have belongs to me, and you only have it because I allowed it.

At first, I believed that my uncle was speaking about the pack, and my father acting as the head Alpha, but then I realized that wasn’t what they were truly talking about, especially when my fath spitefully said back to him, It’s your own fault why she left. If you hadn’t been so damn stubborr back then and wouldn’t have gone after the previous Alpha Rogue King on your own, then we ne would have lost her. But no, you had to prove to her that you were better than me and look wher the hell that landed you. You brought this damn darkness into our pack, killing half our senior cla and almost our mate too. So, forgive me for sacrificing not only your happiness but my own too, ensure that our fated mate and the rest of our pack was kept safe.

My eyes now wandered between my father and uncle’s wolves, not truly believing what I had just heard, as it all now was beginning to make sense about what happened all those years ago. No wonder Raven’s mother had left, as I was sure that this was all too much for her to handle, especially after her seeing one of her mates, a man she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with, murder over half her friends.

A series of growls now filled the surrounding air, as my uncle closed what little distance that was left between him and my father’s wolf. With the two of them now standing practically nose to nose, I knew if this conversation got any more heated between the two of them, then I was going to have to step in and stop them

Honestly, if I were my uncle I would want answers too, but right now, we need to put our differences aside, because we couldn’t change what happened in the past What we could do though, was control what was to happen now, and by the smirk on Jacob’s wolf’s face, it was clear that he was winning this battle without even raising a paw

Knowing that I had to put a stop to this, I moved to step forward to place myself between the two of them, but as I moved to do so, I felt the air around me shift ever so slightly. As if my wolf knew what the hell was happening, he dropped to the ground just in the nick of time, as a bolt of white

Just like when Raven’s power had hit her grandfather, it ricochets some of its force straight bac at us, making me believe that this time Raven had hit her mark. When the aftermath cleared, I quickly moved to stand, knowing this was the one shot we had to take him down. But as the det settles, and my wolf leaps towards where Jacob once stood, I find the space empty.

Where the hell did that bastard go?Liam asked as his wolf began to pace around the outer perimeter of the center of what was left of the battlefield, searching for a scent or anything to point him in the right direction of where he could have possibly disappeared to.

My wolf, on the other hand, stood directly in the center, raising his head to the heavens above, as the dark clouds, along with the black mist, began to disappear from the night sky, telling me that Jacob was no longer here. Slowly, moon beams begin to illuminate the battlefield, showing the massive loss of life that took place here today.

Raising my head once again, my wolf let out a howl, begging our Moon Goddess to welcome tho that have passed today into the afterlife, where we will once again be reunited in peace with all

those that have walked in this world.

As my wolf finishes his prayer to the Moon Goddess, I hear Cash’s voice calling out my name, making my wolf lower his head and turn in Cash’s direction. As my eyes focused on Cash, I quickl realized that he had something in his arms. It only took a second before I realized that something

was our mate’s limp body.

Shifting back into my human form, I raced to his side, placing my hand gently against her cheek,

praying that her life force remained inside of her. Raven’s pulse was weak, but thankfully she was

still with us.

I told her not to do it, but she didn’t listen to me.Cash tells me, as tears well up in his eyes, clearly

worried about our mate as I am
