Chapter 241-1
Another low growl rumbled from Evan’s chest, this time before he tried to defend his own self, by saying, “You know damn straight that nothing was happening like that between me and her.”
“Do I?” Ethan now asks, as he raises one eyebrow at his brother, as if he is trying to provoke
him.
Evan’s face instantly began to blush, and I honestly don’t know if it was because he was embarrassed that he had been busted, or if it was because his blood was now boiling. If it was the latter of the two, I was sure that he was ready to kill his brother for exposing a secret that had been kept all these years about him and Mrs. Jacobs. Either way, Evan definitely didn’t like his brother calling him out like that in front of all of us.
When Evan finally did open his mouth, I realized that my assumptions were both right, as he says like he was ashamed of himself and his actions back then, “Fine. I had been spending a lot of time with her, and I know what it might have looked like to you, but the truth was, she was tutoring me in English.”
Ethan instantly let out a huff, clearly not believing his brother. But I, on the other hand, could now see the embarrassing look on Evan’s face, having to admit that he, as an Alpha, had to seek help from someone else to pass a high school-level class.
