Raven’s POV

His harid barely grazed my flesh, before his body went sailing away from mine, landing smack-dab on his ass. For a moment, I was taken back, wondering what the hell had just happened/but then! heard Lexi’s voice say from behind me, “Didn’t your momma ever teach you manners? Don’t touch what isn’t yours to touch.”

A low growl rumbled from his chest, as he picked himself up off the ground, obviously embarrassed, as he looked around to see who had witnessed him getting put in his place. When he realized that everyone was pretty much focused on getting into the game, and that they hadn

just witnessed his little stumble, his predatorial eyes moved straight to Lexi, before he said, “Your

kind isn’t welcomed here.”

“Ha. My kind? And what exactly is my kind?” She snickered at him, while she stepped in front of me, crossing her arms over her chest as she was more than ready to put this pervert in his place.

“You know…” He began to say, but Lexi cut him off before he could finish his sentence by warning him with, “I would watch what comes out of your mouth next, as I am in a piss-poor mood right now, and I am just itching to take it out on somebody.” She then raised her hand in front of her, allowing him to see that she wasn’t bluffing, as sparks began to flare from the palm of her hand to the tips of her fingers.

I watched as he stumbled backwards, while his eyes widened, realizing that Lexi wasn’t playing.” No bitch is worth this.” He then said before he turned and took off back towards the locker room, only peering over his shoulder once to make sure neither of us were following him.

Surprisingly, Lexi let him go, and as I watched him disappear from my sight, I exhaled the breath I didn’t even realize I was holding, as I found myself gasping for air.

“Are you alright?” Lexi asked, as she began to rub my back, while her eyes remained on where the douche bag disappeared to.

Nodding my head, I let her know that I was okay for the most part, as I took a second to try and steady my breathing, while my eyes now wandered, wondering if freaking Jessica put some kind of damn bounty on my head tonight. There was no doubt in my mind that what just happened wasn’t just a coincidence, as that bitch had just been talking to him moments ago, and I specifically remember him looking straight at me.

“It seems as though we aren’t the only ones up to no good tonight.” Lexi then says as she turns her full attention towards me, and I couldn’t help but chuckle, as it was so clear that I was the main target in Jessica’s little game.

Chapter 245

Little did Jessica know, this was nothing compared to what we had planned for her and her

rnother. If anything, her little charades were doing nothing but fueling the fire for what was in-store

or her tonight.

But before I had a chance to state my two senses on the matter, the National Anthem began to

play, and the two of us looked back towards the field, knowing that the game was about to start. The thought of having to go back onto the sidelines with Jessica made me nauseated, but I knew that in the end, I was going to be the one with the last laugh.

As the two of us walked back towards the field, Lexi grabs me by the arm, stopping me, while she leans in and says to me, “I heard what that bitch said to you, and I know why you stormed off the field. You and your wolf need to realize that the relationship the two of them shared was based off Chase wanting to rebel against what his father expected of him. Plus, he was hurting from the loss of his mother, and he was doing everything in his power to avoid feeling his emotions. What they had wasn’t real. He used her to mask the pain he was feeling and to hurt his father, but he wasn’t the only user in the relationship, as she was clearly using him for status, but their fake relationship is no more. Chase marked you as his mate, and once an Alpha marks his Luna, he has eyes only for his Luna for the rest of his life.”

Once again, I nodded my head at her, hearing her out, but even though a part of me knows that what she just said to be true, there was another part of me that still wanted to rip Jessica’s pretty little Barbie head right off her damn shoulders.

Catching me off guard, Lexi slaps my ass hard, making me yelp, before she says to me, “Good. Now go get them tiger.” Like she had just given me some kind of pep talk, before literally sending me back into the cage with a bunch of wolves.

Jogging my way back across the field to the sidelines, I looked up into the bleachers watching Lexi now making her way back to her seat next to Mazie. When my eyes landed on Mazie, she gave me a kind smile, before giving me the thumbs up, to tell me she had my back. But honestly, with them being up there, and me being down here having to deal with the bitch on my own, it wasn’t the

same.

“Seriously? I thought we got rid of you.” I heard one of Jessica’s snobby ass friends say, but I didn’t give her the time of day, as I moved to take my place on the sidelines, ready to welcome our team onto the field.

“Here.” Tonya said, handing me my pom poms, as I took my place beside her, putting once again a fake ass smile on my face, while I told myself this was all going to be worth it in the end.
