Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 477

Chapter 246

Raven’s POV

Literally I could feel the color of my cheeks disappear, as the look in Chase’s eyes told me everything that I needed to know. He was definitely not happy with me, but I already had a hunch that he or his brothers were going to be. But what I didn’t expect was for him to look away from me, and focus his attention purely on Jessica, who now had a big ass smile on her face as she stepped forward towards him.

Wrapping her sleazy arms around his shoulders, she leaned up and placed a goddamn kiss on his cheek, making all the members of her posse cheer out even louder for her little show of public affection with my mate. My blood instantly began to boil, seeing that he wasn’t even showing any signs of recoiling from her touch, forcing me to clinch my fists around my pompoms even tighter, as I brought them down to my sides, breaking the tunnel we had formed for the football players.

The color that had instantly disappeared from my cheeks moments ago was back, but not in a good way, as I began to see nothing but red, while my mind ran away with the thought of ripping Jessica’s hands right off her damn arms for touching my mate. But that wasn’t the only demented thought that was running through my head right now, as my wolf and I were also wanting to rip our mate a good asshole, for allowing another shewolf to touch him.

Inadvertently, I stumbled a few feet back, catching myself before I could fall, before I turned away from the horror show of betrayal taking place right in front of my face. My eyes were now slowly filling with tears from the unbalance of the mixture of emotions taking over me, making it hard to search through the bleachers for Lexi and Mazie, as I needed to let them know that I couldn’t continue with our plan. But when my eyes landed on the two of them, and I could see the same desire in their eyes to make the bitch pay even more than beforehand, i swallowed down my tears, and thought to myself, I wasn’t going to allow Jessica to win.

Not only was I the rightful Luna of this pack, but I also had the blood of not just an Alpha running through my veins, but also the Alpha Rogue King’s blood toe, making me inferior to her on so many levels. I would be damned if I was going to allow her and her traitorous mother to make their way to the top of this pack.

Thankfully, I wasn’t the only one standing in their way, as I knew I had Lexi and Mazie both on my side, and we were all more than eager to ruin them here within the next hour. But the mere thought of having to endure this for that amount of time just sounded like the epitome of torture. It honestly had me wondering if I could withstand it for that long, but as Chase pulled from Jessica’s arms taking off to the middle of the field, I realized I really didn’t have a choice in the matter if I wanted her and her mother to pay.

Winning the coin toss, our captains move back to the sidelines, while the team forms a huddle, as the head coach gives them one last pep talk before our kick return team takes the field. I couldn’t help but to have my eyes glued to Chase standing directly in the middle of the line, with his full attention now on the visiting team ready to kick off.

As the other team runs forward, and the ball now goes sailing in the air towards our team, I watch as Chase catches the kick, taking off towards the other line of defense without an ounce of hesitation. His team instantly ran in front of him, forming their own defensive positions to block for him.

Honestly, I couldn’t even count how many games I had cheered for in my career as a cheerleader, but this was really the first time ever that I was truly invested in having real feelings for a player on the field. It was crazy how it made my heart stop in my chest, and my breath hitched with each almost hit, until I ended up

gasping when he was finally taken to the ground at the fortyyard line by two of the players from the opposing team.

Chann

With my eyes glued to Chase’s body at the bottom of the pile, I stepped forward almost like I was in a haze, waiting to make sure that he was okay, and i honestly don’t think I took my next breath, until I watched him safely get to his feet. Chase, for the first time since taking the field, looked over in my direction, as I watched a smirk form on his face, before he took off running toward the starting offense that was already forming a huddle.

That little exchange between us must not have gone unnoticed by Jessica, because before I knew what the hell was happening, I was being pushed from behind. I stumbled a few feet forward before I caught myself, quickly turning to see Jessica standing where I had just stood with her hands on her hips, as she says to me, I thought I told you he was mine.

Seriously, this again?I said under my damn breath, as I turned towards the bleachers to look at Lexi and Mazie to remind myself why I couldn’t just put this bitch in her place right now, but as I looked for the two of them, I realized that they were gone.
