Chapter 29-2
“Could you please put your shirt back on?”
Another chuckle comes from his lips, as I hear him step towards my back, before he leans down and whispers into my ear, “Just giving you a preview of what you could have.”
My breath hitched, as I swallowed hard, and I closed my eyes, trying to calm my raging hormones. Denying my attraction to him was like denying that I was attracted to his brothers, one of whom I was dating.
“Have it your way.” He said as he took a step back, and I gave it a few seconds before I turned around to see him with his shirt back on.
“Here.” He said as he handed me the reins to the horse nearest me, and I just stood there staring at the horse, not knowing what to do, as I became a bit nervous, while I tried to convince myself that I had watched enough western movies with my father to do this.
Moving to the side of the horse, I lifted my foot, trying to get in the foot thingy, as I grabbed hold of the horn on the saddle, before I tried to lift myself up onto the massive horse. Unfortunately, my attempt to mount the horse failed, as my left foot landed back on the ground, and my right foot got stuck in the footthingy.
“I’m guessing you have never ridden a horse before.” Cash says as he quickly moves behind me, lifting me off the ground with ease so that I can release my foot.
“What gave it away?” I asked him sarcastically as I took a step back, rethinking if I should even attempt this again.
Cash let out a chuckle, before he said, “Come here. Let me teach you how to mount a horse.”
Jesus, my mind was still in the gutter as I looked at him with a blank stare, trying to shake the unholy thoughts that were running through my mind. Maybe this was a bad idea, and I should just have asked him to take me home, but then I remembered that I owed him one for sticking up for me.
Stepping back towards the horse, I raised my foot once again, but this time Cash slid it forward, before he said, “Now grab right here.” As he moved behind me, placing his hands on each side of my hips, making
me stiffen slightly, before he leans down to my ear and whispers, “It’s all about the swing of the hips.”
A shiver ran through my body, causing me to close my eyes, as I tried my hardest not to lean back into his
chest, while I was clearly having a moment of weakness with him. Thankfully, the horse shifted, moving
my leg just enough to bring me out of the lustful haze of desire, and refocus on the task at hand.
Tightening my grip on the horn, I shifted my weight onto my leg that was on the ground, before I swung my hips with the help of Cash, easily throwing my leg over the top of the saddle. A huge smile formed on my face, as I gave myself praise, by saying, “I did it.”
Cash smiled up at me, as a chuckle came from his lips, before he said to me, “We just might make a
cowgirl out of you after all.”

But my smile was short–lived as I was about to figure out the hard way, that mounting a horse and riding it were two totally different things, as the horse took off in a sprint towards the open field, while I screamed out to Cash, “How do I stop this thing?”
