Chapter 33-1
Cash’s POV
Now that I had got to spend the day with Raven, stealing little moments with her, I found it harder to pretend that we were just friends. Her scent was even sweeter, having her so close to me today, that it took everything in my power to control my urges, but I had to, because there were a few factors in play.
First and foremost, Raven wasn’t of age just yet, but I could sense it was nearing, intriguing me to find out when her birthday was. Second, she knew nothing of our world, but that was soon going to have to change, because today I had too many close calls with her, slipping up
in front of her.
Plus, it wasn’t safe to keep her in the dark about it, but Chance wasn’t ready to tell her just yet. He believed that we had to make her fall in love with us first before telling her, so that her heart and soul were already attached to ours, hoping that she would accept us. But I hated lying to her, and I hated the fact that she continuously held back the way she was reacting to
She did her best to hide it, but I could smell her pheromones and her desires for me. I tried pushing her to cave and give into those desires, wanting so badly to have at least our first kiss, but she was loyal to my brother and the commitment that she made to him. I couldn’t fault her for that, as it showed her loyalty to the bond forming between them, but it still was killing me that she had this with him and not yet with me.
I believe things would be different if she had known that it was normal in our world to have a bond with triplet Alphas, and that it only made us and our pack stronger and united all as one, but in the world, she was used to, this may be a hard pill for her to swallow. But the veil that covered her eyes to our world needs to be removed, before I lose my damn mind thinking about her, and seeing her freely give her heart to my brother and not me.
Purposely, I took my time in the barn, taking the hint from my brother that he needed this time with Raven tonight, as I wondered what he had uncovered today about the Alpha rogue that attacked her. Unfortunately for him, he was the firstborn, making him the future head Alpha of our pack, with the majority of the responsibilities lying on his shoulders, but with that title also came a target on his head.
It wasn’t until I heard his truck pulling away from the house that I ascended from the barn, heading inside the house for dinner, but once I was done eating, I headed back outside, waiting for him to return from taking Raven home. As I waited for him, my wolf was on edge, as the moon now hung high above in the night sky, itching for a run to relieve some pent-up anguish.

Unfortunately, as I was waiting for Chance, our long-lost brother returned home first, and by the look on his face, he wasn’t too happy with me after the incident between us after school today. Immediately he approached me, puffing his chest out, as if to intimidate me, but by now he should know that shit doesn’t fly by me.
“You had no right stepping in between Jessica and Raven. If Raven is to be yours and Chance’s Luna, then she needs to be able to prove herself.” Cash says to me, as he gives me a push, but I barely move, once again standing my ground against him, as a fire begins to burn inside of me, knowing that he would have let Raven get hurt.
“Are you a freaking moron? Raven isn’t one of us. Jessica has an unfair advantage over her, and she could have seriously hurt Raven, but I am sure you would have liked to have seen
that.”
“Jessica doesn’t have her wolf yet. The playing fields are even right now.” Cash says, trying to justify why I should have allowed the fight to continue, but even though Jessica doesn’t have her wolf quite yet, she was born stronger than a human, and he should know that. But Jessica’s claws were dug so deep into him that he would do or say anything to make her happy.
