Chance’s POV

“Enough!” Came from my lips with authority, before I even fully saw what was happening, as I knew whatever it was, it wasn’t good if Jessica and her posse of she wolves were involved. But as they all turned to look at me, and Mazie stepped to the side, I didn’t expect to see the sight before me.

It took all I had to keep a straight face, as I stood there staring at Jessica pinned to the floor by Raven, while wondering how this was even possible. I mean, I knew that Jessica was just an omega, but Raven was a mere human and shouldn’t have the ability to overpower even the weakest of our pack.

“Everyone, get to your classes.” I then said with an alpha authority in my voice, wanting to clear the room, so that I could deal with Jessica without an audience.

As the she wolves scurried past me, Cash moved from my side, moving to Raven to help her up, while Jessica began to say, “I didn’t start this…” But I didn’t give her a chance to finish as I let out a growl, stopping her from continuing.

“Cash, take Raven out to my truck.” I said, giving him an order, not wanting Raven to hear what I was about to say to Jessica, because she wasn’t aware of our world just yet, and I didn’t want her to find out about it like this.

“I can’t just leave school.” Raven says in protest, as Cash leads her towards the door, but Cash was quick to soothe her worries by saying, “Don’t worry about it. Chance will take care of that with the principal.”

Mazie began to leave with them, but I stopped her by saying, “Mazie, I need you to stay to bear witness.”

Raven looked back at Mazie, giving her an apologetic look, but Mazie nodded her head to Raven, as if to tell her she would be okay, before Raven turned and finally left the room with Cash, allowing me to now speak freely to Jessica.

When the door was shut, I turned to look at Jessica, as I tried to do my best to hold back my wolf from coming forward to punish her. Once again, she had broken our laws on school property, but most of all, she had tried to bring harm to my mate.

Knowing that, I had to make it perfectly clear to her that if she tried this again, she would receive the ultimate punishment, regardless of whether she was with Chase or not. “This is the second time you have broken our laws in less than twenty-four hours. Not only were you fighting on school grounds, but you tried to hurt a human, not just any human but your Luna

“That thing will never be my Luna.” Jessica says, testing me, but she learned quickly that I was not to be tested, as I stepped towards her, grabbing her by the throat before pressing her against the wall.

“You will not speak of Raven that way. She will be your Luna, and if you can’t accept her as your Luna, then you will be exiled from the pack.”

“Chase will never let that happen.” She says, questioning my authority, making me tighten my grip around her neck, because I don’t think she is getting the full picture here.

“Chase is not the head Alpha to be. Besides, he is outnumbered two to one when it comes to you. I would highly suggest you begin to walk a straight line if you know what is best. As for your punishment, you will work it off at the Diner for Joey, until I feel you have learned your lesson. But if I hear or see one more incident that involves you and Raven, or I even get wind that you are up to no good, I will take more drastic measures. Do you understand?”

She remained quiet as her eyes narrowed, making me tighten my hold just a bit more, drawing a “Yes” from her lips, before I released my hold around her neck, and said, “Good. Now get back to class.”
