Chapter 51-1
Raven’s POV
Lost in the sorrow that I had brought on myself, I didn’t realize that we were still sitting at the stop sign, until Chance reached his hand, over to my face, wiping the single tear that fell from the corner of my eye with his thumb.
“Raven, why are you crying? I told you it doesn’t change things between us. I guess from where you were sitting, it could have looked suspicious. Plus, the two of us need to really work on our communication. If I had just told you why we were stopping, then you wouldn’t have assumed the worst of me. With everything that has been going on back home, it has put a damper on us getting to spend quality time together, getting to know each other. I was really looking forward to spending the evening alone with you, so that we could have that time we so desperately needed. Are you sure I can’t change your mind about me taking you straight home?”
My head slowly raised to look at him, while his thumb now gently caressed my cheek, as I realized that I had misunderstood his words. He was selflessly forgiving me, even though I could see that it pained him that I had thought so little of him. Seeing the look of pain now in his eyes, it was breaking my heart even further than when I thought I had lost him too.
Knowing that he was finding it in his heart to forgive me and not wanting to lose this strange connection I felt towards him, I began to shake my head, before I said to him, “I don’t want to go home, and I don’t want to lose you either.”
My words barely finished leaving my lips, before Chance reached over, pulling me into him, crashing his lips against mine, with what felt like a fury of tension being released from him. I couldn’t help but feel the same way, as I reached down to unbuckle my seatbelt, releasing me from my restraints to fully commit to the moment.
My body began to take control over my mind, as it desperately began to yearn for more of his touch upon my flesh, as his touch felt like it was mending my heart back together. His taste on my lips was intoxicating, almost as if it was an illegal drug of its own, as it began to feed a hunger that was building inside of me.
Before I knew what was happening, I was sitting on his lap, running my hands through his thick dark hair, as my lips continued to devour his delectable taste, feeding my hunger, while awakening a desire that was locked deep within side of me. The tips of his fingers pressed firmly against my back, pulling my body flush against his chest, as a growl rumbled from deep within him, sending a vibration through my lips, as heat rose in my core.
My body felt foreign, as the desire I was feeling towards him was too intense to resist, nor

did I want to fight it. Unfortunately, Chance’s hands at that moment moved to my arms, taking hold of them firmly, before he pulled me away from him, breaking the connection and the hold, the moment had over us. The two of us stared at each other panting, trying to catch our breaths, as my mind slowly took back control over my body.
When Chance finally caught his breath, he opened his mouth and said to me, “Don’t take this
as me rejecting you, because Goddess knows I want you, but we can’t go any further until you are of age.”
His words slowly registered in my head, as a smile forms on my face while a nervous chuckle slips from my lips, making my hand quickly move to my mouth to cover it before another could slip from it. The serious look on Chance’s face at that moment disappears and in its place is a questioning look as to why I was seeing humor in what he just said.
Removing my hand from my lips, with a smile still on my face, I said to him, “Well then I guess this is to be continued next weekend.”
