Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time novel Chapter 660

Chapter 660

Seeing everyone fawn over Maggie, watching the smile on her face, it rubbed him the wrong way in a manner he couldn’t quite shake.

He didn’t say a word. Just turned and headed upstairs alone.

That afternoon, Maggie and her team finally tied up everything they’d been working on. They probably wouldn’t need to come back to Wilson Group for the next two weeks or so.

Mr. Jarrell, ever the gracious host, insisted on personally walking them down to the lobby.

Yale’s group happened to be heading back to the office to take care of a few things, so they all ended up waiting at the elevator bank together.

The elevator came quickly. But when the doors slid open, the whole group went quiet.

Mr. Jarrell recovered first, stepping forward with a smile. Mr. Wilson, Mr. Taylor.

Franklin gave a nod, his gaze drifting over the group. Heading out?he asked, casual as ever.

The framework’s all wrapped up. Ms. Miller and her team are heading back to Cole. I’m seeing them off.

Franklin nodded and turned to Maggie. Good work.

Maggie held up her end, responding to just about everything he said, with Mr. Jarrell jumping in here and there.

Franklin didn’t say much. He just stood off to the side and watched them talk.

The others probably weren’t paying close attention, but the moment Franklin appeared, Yale had been tracking both

him and Maggie.

And what he noticed was this: after that first brief exchange when they ran into each other, Maggie and Franklin barely made eye contact.

They seemed like near strangers.

If he hadn’t seen those photos, he would’ve thought this kind of stiff, barelythere greeting was perfectly normal between them.

He thought back to what he’d seen in those pictures, then looked at the two of them now, and couldn’t help but wonder

The elevator reached the lobby. Mr. Jarrell turned to Maggie with a grin. The awards ceremony is coming up in a few days, Ms. Miller. Congratulations in advance.

Thank you.

Mr. Taylor hadn’t heard anything about an award. What ceremony?
